أخبرنا أبو بكر بن إسحاق، أخبرنا محمد بن عيسى بن السَّكَن الواسطي، حدثنا عمرو بن عَوْن، حدثنا سفيان بن حَبيب، حدثنا حُمَيد الطويل، عن بكر بن عبد الله المُزَني، عن عبد الله بن عمر قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "استَمتِعُوا من هذا البيت، فإنه قد هُدِمَ مرتين ويُرفَع الثالثةَ" (1).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Benefit from this House (the House of Allah) as much as you can (that is, perform tawaf and worship abundantly), for it has been demolished twice, and the third time it will be lifted up (to the heavens)."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), and they did not record it.

(1) إسناده صحيح أبو بكر بن إسحاق: اسمه أحمد.
Grading: Its isnad is sahih. Abu Bakr bin Ishaq refers to Ahmad.
وأخرجه ابن حبان (6753) من طريق الحسن بن قَزَعة، عن سفيان بن حبيب، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Ibn Hibban (6753) via the chain of al-Hasan bin Qaza'ah from Sufyan bin Habib.
قوله "هدم مرتين" قال المناوي في "التيسير بشرح الجامع الصغير" 1/ 150: أراد به هدمها عند الطوفان إلى أن بناها إبراهيم، وهدمها في أيام قريش، وكان ذلك مع إعادة بنائها وللمصطفى من العمر خمس وثلاثون.
Important point: "Demolished twice": al-Munawi says this refers to its demolition at the time of the Flood until Ibrahim rebuilt it, and secondly its demolition in the time of Quraysh and its rebuilding, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was 35 years old.
وقوله: ويُرفع "الثالثة" قال: بهدم ذي السُّويقتين له، والمراد رفع بركته.
Important point: "Raised the third time": this refers to the demolition of the Ka'bah at the hands of "Dhu al-Suwayqatayn" near the Hour, and the lifting of its blessing.
وقال ابن خزيمة بإثر الحديث (2506): يريد بعد الثالثة، إذ رفع ما قد هدم محال، لأنَّ البيت إذا هدم لا يقع عليه اسم بيت إذا لم يكن هناك بناء.
Important point: Ibn Khuzaymah says that it means after the third time, since raising what has already been demolished is impossible, because once the House is demolished it is not called a "House" when there is no building there.
