It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) vomited, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) broke his fast.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: The hadith is sahih, and this chain is strong (qawi) on account of 'Abd Allah bin Raja' (al-Ghudani), and he is also corroborated. Reference / Source: Ya'qub bin Shaybah narrated it in "Musnad 'Umar bin al-Khattab" (p. 77) from 'Abd Allah bin Raja', with this same chain. Reference / Source: Ibn Khuzaymah (1958) and al-Baghawi in "Sharh al-Sunnah" (160) narrated it via the chain of 'Abd al-Samad bin 'Abd al-Warith, and at its end Ma'dan says: "Then I met Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) in the mosque of Damascus and mentioned this to him, and he said: (Abu al-Darda') spoke the truth; it was I who poured the water for his (peace and blessings be upon him) wudu'." Reference / Source: Al-Bazzar (4123) narrated it via the chain of al-Hasan bin Yahya, from 'Abd Allah bin Raja', from Harb bin Shaddad, but in it the words "Walid from his father" occur.
