It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with her) that she heard Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Those who curse a great deal will be neither witnesses nor intercessors (on the Day of Resurrection)."
Imam Muslim has narrated it with this same wording.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: This hadith is sahih, and its chain is hasan because of Hisham bin Sa'd; it is also corroborated. Note / Clarification: Abu Hazim is "Salamah bin Dinar". Reference / Source: Imam Muslim (2598/86) and Imam Abu Dawud (4907) narrated it through two different routes from Hisham bin Sa'd with this same chain. Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad (45/27529), Imam Muslim (2598/85) and Ibn Hibban (5746) narrated it via Ma'mar bin Rashid and Hafs bin Maysarah, who narrate from Zayd bin Aslam, from Umm al-Darda'. Note / Clarification: Imam al-Nawawi says in "Sharh Muslim" that it means that on the Day of Resurrection, when the believers intercede for those of their brothers who have become deserving of the Fire, these people who curse will not be able to intercede. Note / Clarification: Three meanings have been given for "wa la shuhada'" (nor will they be witnesses): the first (the best known) is that on the Day of Resurrection they will not be able to bear witness against the other nations; the second, that in this world their testimony will not be accepted because of their sinfulness; the third, that they will not be granted martyrdom (death) in the path of Allah.
