حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب من أصل كتابه، حدثنا محمد بن سنان القَزَّاز، حدثنا أبو عامر العَقَدي، حدثنا كَثير بن زيد قال: سمعتُ سالمًا يحدِّث عن ابن عمر، عن النبي ﷺ قال: "لا ينبغي للمُؤمن أن يكون لعَّانًا" (2).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It does not befit a believer to be one who curses much."

(2) إسناده حسن في المتابعات والشواهد من أجل محمد بن سنان القزاز، وقد توبع، ومن فوقه ثقات غير كثير بن زيد فإنه صدوق حسن الحديث. أبو عامر العقدي: هو عبد الملك بن عمرو القيسي.
Grading: On the basis of corroborating chains and supporting reports, this chain is hasan.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Kathir bin Zayd is a saduq and hasan-in-hadith narrator, and Abu Amir al-Aqadi is "Abd al-Malik bin Amr al-Qaysi".
وأخرجه الترمذي (2019) عن بُندار. وهو محمد بن بشار - عن أبي عامر العقدي، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Imam al-Tirmidhi narrated it (2019) via Bundar (Muhammad bin Bashshar) through the chain of Abu Amir al-Aqadi.
وقال: حديث حسن. وانظر ما بعده.
Grading: Imam al-Tirmidhi declared it "hasan".
وفي الباب عن عبد الله بن مسعود، سلف عند المصنف برقم (29) بلفظ: "ليس المؤمن بالطعّان ولا اللعَّان .. ".
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: On this subject, the narration of Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) has already passed with the author at number (29), that the believer is not one who taunts or curses.
