حدثنا أبو بكر بن إسحاق الفقيه، أخبرنا إسماعيل بن إسحاق القاضي، حدثنا سليمان بن داود، حدثنا أبو أسامة، حدثني حماد بن زيد. وأخبرنا دَعلَجُ بن أحمد السِّجْزِي، حدثنا بشرٌ بن موسى، حدثنا سعيد بن منصور، حدثنا أبو أسامة حمَّادُ بن أسامة، حدثنا حمَّاد بن زيد، عن ثابت، عن أنس، قال: قالت فاطمة: يا أنسُ، أطابت أنفُسُكم أن تَحثُوا الترابَ على رسول الله ﷺ؟! قال: وقالت فاطمة: يا أبَتاه، أجابَ ربًّا دعاه، يا أبَتاه، مِن ربِّه ما أدناه، يا أبَتاه، جَنَّةُ الفِردَوس مأواه، يا أبَتاه، إلى جبريلَ أنْعاه. زاد سعيد بن منصور في حديثه عن أبي أسامة، قال: سمعتُ حمّاد بن زيدٍ يقول: رأيتُ ثابتَ البُنانيَّ حين حدثنا بهذا الحديث بَكَى، حتى رأيت أضلاعَه تضطرب (1).

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) states that (after the passing of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)) Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "O Anas! Did your hearts allow you to throw dust upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?!" The narrator says that Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) also said (in her grief and sorrow): "O my dear father, who answered the call of his Lord! O my dear father, how near he has become to his Lord! O my dear father, whose abode is the Garden of Firdaws! O my dear father, to Jibril I announce his death." Sa'id bin Mansur added in his narration from Abu Usamah that he said: I heard Hammad bin Zayd say: I saw Thabit al-Bunani, when he was narrating this hadith to us, weep so much that his ribs seemed to be heaving (from his sobs).
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs, but they did not record it!

(1) إسناده صحيح. ثابت: هو ابن أسلم البُناني.
Grading: (1) Its chain is sahih. Thabit is al-Bunani.
وأخرجه ابن ماجه (1630) عن علي بن محمد، عن أبي أسامة حماد بن أسامة، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ibn Majah (1630) narrated it with the chain Ali bin Muhammad from Abu Usamah.
وزاد بإثره قول حماد بن زيد الذي أشار إليه المصنف.
Technical note: At the end of this narration of Ibn Majah there is also the statement of Hammad bin Zayd to which the author (al-Hakim) alluded.
وأخرجه دون هذه الزيادة أحمد 20/ (13117) عن يزيد بن هارون، والبخاري (4462) عن سليمان بن حرب، وابن حبان (6622) من طريق إسماعيل بن يونس، ثلاثتهم عن حماد بن زيد، به. ولم يذكروا جميعهم الزيادة التي زادها سعيد بن منصور وعلي بن محمد في حديثهما عن أبي أسامة، وزاد سليمان بن حرب وإسماعيل بن يونس في أوله: لما ثقل النبي ﷺ جعل يتغشّاه، فقالت فاطمة ﵍: واكربَ أباه، فقال لها: "ليس على أبيك كرب بعد اليوم".
Reference / Source: Ahmad (20/13117), al-Bukhari (4462) and Ibn Hibban narrated it with the chain of Hammad bin Zayd, but without the addition found in Abu Usamah's narration. Sulayman bin Harb's narration mentions the words of Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), "wa karba abah" (Oh, the distress of my father!), and his (peace and blessings be upon him) reply: "There will be no distress for your father after today."
