حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا أحمد بن عبد الجبار، حدثنا أبو معاوية. وحدثنا أبو بكر محمد بن أحمد بن بالَوَيه، حدثنا عبد الله بن أحمد بن حنبل، حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شَيبة، حدثنا أبو معاوية، حدثنا أبو بُرْدة، عن عَلْقَمة بن مَرْثَد، عن ابن بُرَيدة، عن أبيه قال: لما أَخَذوا في غَسْل رسول الله ﷺ، ناداهم مُنادٍ من الدَّاخل: لا تَنزِعُوا عن رسول الله ﷺ قَميصَه (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين ولم يُخرجاه. وأبو بُرْدةَ هذا: هو بُريدُ بن عبد الله بن أبي بردة بن أبي موسى الأشعري، محتجٌّ به في "الصحيحين" (2).

It is reported from Sayyiduna Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the people began to wash the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), a caller called out to them from inside: "Do not take off the shirt of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it, and the Abu Burdah among these narrators is in fact Burayd bin Abdullah bin Abi Burdah bin Abi Musa al-Ash'ari, who is a principal narrator of the two Sahihs.

(1) حسن لغيره، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لضعف أبي بردة: وهو عمرو بن يزيد على الراجح. أبو معاوية: هو محمد بن خازم الضرير وابن بريدة: هو سليمان، وأبوه هو بريدة بن الحصيب الأسلمي ﵁.
Grading: (1) It is "hasan li-ghayrihi" (sound due to supporting reports); the chain is da'if (weak) because Abu Burdah ('Amr bin Yazid) is weak. Abu Mu'awiyah refers to Muhammad al-Darir, and Ibn Buraydah refers to Sulayman.
