لَا يَزَالُ الْبَلَاءُ بِالْمُؤْمِنِ فِي نَفْسِهِ وَمَالِهِ وَوَلَدِهِ حَتَّى يَلْقَى اللَّهَ وَمَا عَلَيْهِ مِنْ خَطِيئَةٍ

أخبرنا أبو عمرو عثمان بن أحمد بن السَّمَّاك ببغداد، حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم الواسطي، حدثنا يزيد بن هارون، أخبرنا محمد بن عمرو، عن أبي سَلَمة، عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "لا يزالُ البلاءُ بالمؤمن في نفسِه ومالِه وولدِه، حتى يَلقَى الله وما عليه من خَطِيئة" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه. وله شاهد صحيح:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The believer continues to be tested in his own self, his wealth and his children, until he meets Allah with no sin remaining upon him."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Muslim, but they did not record it, and it also has an authentic supporting narration (shahid):

(1) إسناده حسن من أجل محمد بن عمرو: وهو ابن علقمة الليثي. أبو سلمة: هو ابن عبد الرحمن.
Grading: (1) The chain is hasan because of Muhammad bin 'Amr bin 'Alqamah al-Laythi. Abu Salamah refers to Ibn 'Abd al-Rahman.
وأخرجه أحمد 15/ (9811)، وابن حبان (2913) من طريق يزيد بن هارون، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (15/9811) and Ibn Hibban (2913) narrated it via the chain of Yazid bin Harun.
وأخرجه أحمد 13/ (7859) عن محمد بن بشر، والترمذي (2399)، وابن حبان (2924) من طريق يزيد بن زريع، كلاهما عن محمد بن عمرو بن علقمة به. وقال الترمذي: حديث حسن صحيح.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (13/7859) and al-Tirmidhi (2399) narrated it via the chain of Muhammad bin 'Amr bin 'Alqamah. Al-Tirmidhi declared it "hasan sahih".
