It is narrated from Nafi' bin Jubayr (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Uthman bin Abi al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was afflicted with such severe pain that it had almost incapacitated him. He mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Place your right hand on the spot where you feel pain, wipe it seven times, and each time you wipe, say: 'A'udhu bi-'izzatillahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajid' (I seek refuge in the might of Allah and His power from the evil of what I feel)."
The chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs did not record it with these words; however, Imam Muslim recorded it with different wording.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: (2) Its chain is sahih. Al-Qa'nabi refers to 'Abd Allah bin Maslamah, and Malik refers to the Imam of Dar al-Hijrah. Reference / Source: Ahmad (16268), al-Tirmidhi (2080), al-Nasa'i and Ibn Hibban narrated it via various routes from Imam Malik. Reference / Source: Ahmad (29/17907) and al-Nasa'i narrated it via the route of Isma'il bin Ja'far. Reference / Source: Ibn Majah (3522) narrated it via the chain of Yazid bin Khusayfah. Reference / Source: Muslim (2202), al-Nasa'i and Ibn Hibban narrated it via the chain of al-Zuhri from Nafi' bin Jubayr, in which there is the addition of saying "Bismillah" three times and, at the end, "wa uhadhir" (and what I fear). (7705). Corroborating chains and supporting reports: On this topic there is the narration of Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), which will come later with the author (al-Hakim) at number (7705).
Defect / Technical note: (1) Imam Abu 'Abd Allah al-Hakim (may Allah have mercy on him) erred here, because Imam Muslim's narration is actually via the chain of al-Zuhri from Nafi' bin Jubayr from 'Uthman bin Abi al-'As, which is found in his collection at number (2202), and its wording is similar in meaning to al-Hakim's wording; the slight difference between them has already been pointed out. Reference / Source: As for the narration of al-Jurayri from Yazid bin 'Abd Allah bin al-Shikhkhir from 'Uthman bin Abi al-'As, it is a different hadith, which Imam Muslim narrated immediately after the hadith of Nafi' bin Jubayr at number (2203). Its wording is: 'Uthman bin Abi al-'As (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, Satan has come between me and my prayer and my recitation, and confuses me in it." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That is a devil called 'Khinzab'. When you sense him, seek refuge with Allah from him and spit (dryly) to your left three times." He said: I did that, and Allah removed him from me.
