حدَّثَناه أبو بكر بن إسحاق، أخبرنا محمد بن أحمد بن النَّضْر، حدثنا معاوية بن عمرو، حدثنا زائدة، فذكره بإسناده من قول أبي الدَّرْداء (2). وهذا مما لا يُوهِن، فإنَّ الحسين بن علي الجُعْفي أقدمُ وأحفظُ وأعرفُ بحديث زائدة من غيره، والله أعلم.
The previous hadith of Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) is narrated as his own statement (mawquf). And this does not weaken the hadith, because al-Husayn bin Ali al-Ju'fi is earlier, a better memoriser, and more expert in the hadith of Za'idah than the other narrators.

(2) رجاله ثقات، وسلف قبله مرفوعًا، وقال الدارقطني في "العلل" 6/ 207: والمحفوظ الموقوف.
Grading: (2) Its narrators are thiqah; it has passed before as marfu', but according to Imam al-Daraqutni (al-'Ilal 6/207) the preserved (mahfuz) version is that it is mawquf.
وأخرجه النسائي (1464) عن سويد بن نصر، عن عبد الله بن المبارك، عن سفيان الثوري، عن عبدة، عن سويد بن غفلة، عن أبي ذر أو أبي الدرداء، موقوفًا. ثم أعاد الإسناد عينه، إلّا أنَّ ابن المبارك قال: سفيان بن عيينة، بدلًا من الثوري.
Reference / Source: Al-Nasa'i (1464) narrated it as mawquf through the chain of Suwayd bin Nasr from Ibn al-Mubarak. Ibn al-Mubarak narrated it once from Sufyan al-Thawri and once from Sufyan bin 'Uyaynah.
