It is narrated from Abdullah bin Abi Qays that the Mothers of the Believers (may Allah be pleased with them) told him that Allah Almighty guided His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to a (particular) deed. So Abdullah said to them: Tell me too, to which deed did Allah guide His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)? They said: Allah guided him (peace and blessings be upon him) to standing in prayer at night (tahajjud).
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but they did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: (1) The chain is da'if (weak) because of the weakness of Abu Bakr bin Abi Maryam. Yahya bin Muhammad refers to al-Dhuhli. Reference / Source: Ibn Khuzaymah (1138) narrated it through the chain of Muhammad bin Yahya al-Dhuhli. Corroborating chains and supporting reports: A report of similar meaning has already passed earlier (1171) from the narration of Aishah, that he (peace and blessings be upon him) never abandoned the night prayer (qiyam al-layl).
