Sayyiduna Amr bin Abasah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was staying at Ukaz, and I said: O Messenger of Allah! Is there any supplication that is nearer (to acceptance) than another, or is there any hour that should be observed, or in which remembrance is most fitting? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, the Lord is nearest to His servant in the last middle part of the night, so if you are able to be among those who remember Allah in that hour, then do so."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but they did not record it.
