Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 1119

حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا محمد بن إسحاق الصَّغَاني، حدثنا قَبِيصةُ بن عُقبة، حدثنا سفيان، عن عطاء بن السَّائب، عن أبي عبد الرحمن السُّلَمي، قال: كانوا في التكبير في الفِطر أشدَّ منهم في الأضحى (1).
Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami narrates that the Companions gave more attention and intensity to saying the takbir on Eid al-Fitr than on Eid al-Adha.

(1) إسناده صحيح، وسماع سفيان - وهو الثوري - من عطاء بن السائب قبل الاختلاط. أبو عبد الرحمن السلمي اسمه: عبد الله بن حبيب، وهو من كبار التابعين.
Grading: (1) Its chain is sahih.
Technical note: Sufyan al-Thawri heard from Ata' bin al-Sa'ib before his ikhtilat (deterioration of memory). Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami is one of the senior Tabi'un.
وأخرجه البيهقي في "السنن الكبرى" 3/ 279 عن أبي عبد الله الحاكم بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Bayhaqi (3/279) narrated it through the chain of al-Hakim, by this same chain.
وأخرجه الدارقطني (1713) عن محمد بن مخلد، عن محمد بن إسحاق، به.
Reference / Source: Al-Daraqutni (1713) narrated it through the chain of Muhammad bin Makhlad.
وأخرجه الفريابي في "أحكام العيدين" (64) من طريق وكيع، عن سفيان، به.
