It is narrated from Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) that he saw Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) on Friday move forward a little from the place where he had prayed the Friday prayer and pray two rak'ahs, then walk some further distance than that and pray four rak'ahs. The narrator says: I asked Ata: How many times did you see Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) doing this? He said: Many times.
