Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 1040

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, Allah Almighty will raise all the days in their original form, and He will raise Friday radiant and shining. Its people will surround it just as a bride is sent off to her honourable husband. It will give light for them, and they will walk in its light. Their complexions will be white like snow, and their fragrance will spread like musk. They will be wading through mountains of camphor. The jinn and humans will be watching them in amazement without blinking, until they enter Paradise. None will be mixed with them except the callers to prayer (mu'adhdhins) who called the adhan with a sincere intention."
This is a shadh (anomalous) hadith but with a sahih (authentic) chain, because Abu Mu'ayd is among the trustworthy narrators of Syria whose hadith are collected, and al-Haytham bin Humayd is also among the eminent figures of Syria; but the two Shaykhs did not narrate from either of them.

Hadith Grading
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: (1) The chain is weak because it is disconnected. It is not established that Abu Mu'id heard from Tawus (al-Ilal of Ibn Abi Hatim 2/565). Ibn Khuzaymah also expressed doubt about this chain.

Reference / Source: Ibn Khuzaymah, al-Tabarani and Ibn Adi narrated it through the route of al-Haytham bin Humayd.
Criticism of a narrator: Ibn Adi narrated it through the chain of Talhah bin Zayd from Ubaydah bin Hassan, but Imam al-Bukhari called Talhah munkar al-hadith and al-Nasa'i called him matruk.
(Note / Clarification): "Yatrifun" means to blink, or to close the eyes and open them.

Technical note: (2) By shudhudh here is meant a narrator being alone in narrating a hadith (tafarrud).
