It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! What do you think: if Paradise is as wide as the heavens and the earth, then where is the Fire (Hell)?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What do you think: when the night covers everything, then where does the day go?" He said: "Allah knows best." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In the same way, Allah does whatever He wills (that is, He has power over everything)."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim); I know of no hidden defect ('illah) in it, and they did not record it.

(1) إسناده قوي من أجل عبد الله بن عبد الله بن الأصم. محمد بن إسحاق: هو أبو بكر بن خزيمة صاحب "الصحيح". Grading: Because of the presence of Abdullah bin Abdullah bin al-Asamm, this chain is strong (qawi). Note / Clarification: Muhammad bin Ishaq mentioned in the chain is Imam Ibn Khuzaymah, the author of "Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah". وأخرجه البزار في "مسنده" (9380) عن محمد بن معمر القيسي، بهذا الإسناد. Reference / Source: Imam al-Bazzar narrated it in his "Musnad" (9380) via Muhammad bin Ma'mar al-Qaysi with this same chain. وأخرجه ابن راهويه في "مسنده" (437) عن المخزومي المغيرة بن سلمة، به. Reference / Source: Imam Ishaq bin Rahawayh narrated it (437) via al-Makhzumi (al-Mughirah bin Salamah). وأخرجه البزار (9381) عن أبي كامل الجحدري، عن عبد الواحد بن زياد، به - مرسلًا بإسقاط أبي هريرة، ورواية من رواه موصولًا أصح. Reference / Source: Imam al-Bazzar narrated it (9381) through the route of Abu Kamil al-Jahdari from Abd al-Wahid bin Ziyad as "mursal" (dropping Abu Hurayrah). Important point: However, the version of the narrators who narrated it as "mawsul" (connected) is more correct.
