Hadith 15065
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا
شَرِيكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ
عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ , عَنْ
جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ : " يَطْلُعُ عَلَيْكُمْ رَجُلٌ " , أَوْ قَالَ : " يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْكُمْ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ " ، فَجَاءَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ , ثُمَّ قَالَ : " يَطْلُعُ عَلَيْكُمْ ، أَوْ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْكُمْ شَابٌّ - يُرِيدُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ " ، قَالَ : فَجَاءَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ , ثُمَّ قَالَ : " يَطْلُعُ عَلَيْكُمْ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ , اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ عَلِيًّا , اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ عَلِيًّا " ، قَالَ : فَجَاءَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Soon a person from among the people of Paradise will come to you." After a short while, Sayyiduna Siddiq Akbar (Abu Bakr) arrived. We congratulated him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Soon another person from among the people of Paradise will come to you." After a short while, Sayyiduna Umar arrived. We congratulated him as well. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) then said: "Soon another person from among the people of Paradise will come to you," and he said, "O Allah, if You will, let the one who comes be Ali." Accordingly, Sayyiduna Ali arrived, and we congratulated him as well.
Hadith 15066
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a monitor lizard was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) refused to eat it and said: I do not know, it may be from among those towns and times that were transformed.
Hadith 15067
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering a sermon when a man came and sat down. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him: "Have you prayed?" He replied, "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to pray two rak'ahs.
Hadith 15068
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ , أَخْبَرَنَا
ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ , أَخْبَرَنِي
عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ
جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , يَقُولُ : لَمَّا بُنِيَتِ الْكَعْبَةُ , كَانَ الْعَبَّاسُ وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْقُلَانِ حِجَارَةً , فَقَالَ الْعَبَّاسُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : اجْعَلْ إِزَارَكَ ، قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ : عَلَى رَقَبَتِكَ مِنَ الْحِجَارَةِ ، فَخَرَّ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ , وَطَمَحَتْ عَيْنَاهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ , فَقَامَ فَقَالَ : " إِزَارِي , إِزَارِي " ، فَقَامَ فَشَدَّهُ عَلَيْهِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the construction of the Ka'bah began, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and Sayyiduna Abbas also started carrying stones. Sayyiduna Abbas said, "Take off your waistcloth and put it on your shoulder so that your shoulder does not get injured by the stones." When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) tried to do so, he fell unconscious and his gaze remained fixed towards the sky. Then when he regained consciousness, he said, "My waistcloth, my waistcloth," and he tied it firmly and securely.
Hadith 15069
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever eats from this foul-smelling tree (garlic), let him not come near our mosques.
Hadith 15070
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The hand of the looter will not be cut off, but whoever commits looting has no relation with us. He also said that the hand of the treacherous person will not be cut off.
Hadith 15071
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offering voluntary prayers on his mount in every direction, except that he would bow lower in prostration than in bowing, and he would gesture.
Hadith 15072
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), we used to practice coitus interruptus (withdrawal).
Hadith 15073
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ , أَخْبَرَنَا
ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ , قَالَ
عَطَاءٌ : حِينَ قَدِمَ
جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُعْتَمِرًا , فَجِئْنَاهُ فِي مَنْزِلِهِ , فَسَأَلَهُ الْقَوْمُ عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ ، ثُمَّ ذَكَرُوا لَهُ الْمُتْعَةَ , فَقَالَ : " نَعَمْ ، اسْتَمْتَعْنَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ , وَعُمَرَ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ فِي آخِرِ خِلَافَةِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ .
Ata says that when Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) came for Umrah, we visited his house. People asked him various questions, then they asked about Mut'ah. He said: We used to practice Mut'ah with women during the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and during the time of Abu Bakr and Umar, until later Umar forbade it.
Hadith 15074
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out from the place of Sarif at sunset, but performed the prayer upon reaching Makkah Mukarramah.
Hadith 15075
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir, may Allah be pleased with him, that when the chief of the hypocrites, Abdullah bin Ubayy, died and had been placed in the grave, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, had him taken out of the grave, applied his saliva from his forehead to his feet, and clothed him in his own shirt.
Hadith 15076
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
سُفْيَانُ , قَالَ : سَمِعَ
عَمْرٌو ،
جَابِرًا ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعَتْ أُذُنَايَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَوْمٌ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ النَّارِ ، فَيَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that my ears heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying that Allah Almighty will take some people out of Hell and admit them into Paradise.
Hadith 15077
Sulaiman bin Yasar says that there was a governor in Madinah Munawwarah whose name was Tariq. He gave the ruling that the right of 'Umari would be for the heir, and he gave as evidence the hadith of Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) which he narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 15078
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
سُفْيَانُ , عَنْ
أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، سَمِعَ
جَابِرًا , يَقُولُ : " لَمْ نُبَايِعْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْمَوْتِ , إِنَّمَا بَايَعْنَاهُ عَلَى أَنْ لَا نَفِرَّ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the occasion of the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, we pledged allegiance to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that we would not flee from the battlefield; we did not pledge allegiance upon death.
Hadith 15079
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
سُفْيَانُ , عَنْ
أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، سَمِعَ
جَابِرًا , يَقُولُ : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنْ كَسْبِ الْحَجَّامِ , فَقَالَ : " اعْلِفْهُ نَاضِحَكَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a person asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the wages for cupping, so he said: Buy fodder with that money and feed it to your camel.
Hadith 15080
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
سُفْيَانُ , حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ عَقِيلٍ , عَنْ
جَابِرٍ أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَكَلَ خُبْزًا وَلَحْمًا , فَصَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate bread and meat, and then performed prayer without renewing ablution.
Hadith 15081
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever revives barren, deserted land, it will belong to him, and for every animal that eats from it, he will receive the reward of charity for all of them.
Hadith 15082
Yahya ibn Zakariya narrated to us, Hajjaj informed us, from Ata, and from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, "forbade selling what is in the tops of palm trees for dates by measure."
Hadith 15083
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade selling dates that are still on the trees in exchange for harvested dates by measure. It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the sale and purchase of fruits before they ripen and the contracting of fruits for several years.
Hadith 15084
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade selling dates that are still on the trees in exchange for harvested dates by measure.
Hadith 15085
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of Eid al-Fitr, I was present in the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He led the prayer before the sermon without (calling) adhan or iqamah.
Hadith 15086
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed only one Tawaf.
Hadith 15087
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "My brother has passed away, how should I shroud him?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Shroud him in a good manner."
Hadith 15088
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever fences off a piece of land and makes it into a garden, that land will belong to him.

يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ , حَدَّثَنَا
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ , عَنْ
عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ , قَالَ
الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ : قُلْتُ لِجَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , فَقَالَ
جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ : يَا ابْنَ أَخِي , أَنَا أَعْلَمُ النَّاسِ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ , كُنْتُ فِيمَنْ رَجَمَ الرَّجُلَ يَعْنِي مَاعِزًا , إِنَّا لَمَّا رَجَمْنَاهُ وَجَدَ مَسَّ الْحِجَارَةِ , فَقَالَ : أَيْ قَوْمِ , رُدُّونِي إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَإِنَّ قَوْمِي هُمْ قَتَلُونِي وَغَرُّونِي مِنْ نَفْسِي ، وَقَالُوا : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَيْرُ قَاتِلِكَ ، قَالَ : فَلَمْ نَنْزَعْ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ حَتَّى فَرَغْنَا مِنْهُ , قَالَ : فَلَمَّا رَجَعْنَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَكَرْنَا لَهُ قَوْلَهُ , فَقَالَ : " أَلَا تَرَكْتُمُ الرَّجُلَ وَجِئْتُمُونِي بِهِ " , إِنَّمَا أَرَادَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَتَثَبَّتَ فِي أَمْرِهِ .
Hasan bin Muhammad says that I asked Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) about the incident of the stoning of Sayyiduna Ma'iz: so he said, "Nephew, I know the most about this hadith because I was among those people who stoned him. When we started stoning him and he felt its pain, he began to say, 'People, take me back to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); my people have killed me and deceived me, saying that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) will not kill you in any case.' But we did not stop until we finished him. When we returned to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), we told him what he had said. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'Why did you not leave him and bring him to me?' In fact, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wanted to investigate the matter further."
Hadith 15090
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a man who was praying and he had placed his left hand over his right hand. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) lifted his hand and placed the right hand over the left hand.
Hadith 15091

يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ , حَدَّثَنَا
هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ , عَنِ
الْحَسَنِ , عَنْ
جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا كُنْتُمْ فِي الْخِصْبِ , فَأَمْكِنُوا الرَّكْبَ أَسِنَّتَهَا , وَلَا تَعْدُوا الْمَنَازِلَ , وَإِذَا كُنْتُمْ فِي الْجَدْبِ فَاسْتَنْجُوا , وَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالدُّلْجَةِ , فَإِنَّ الْأَرْضَ تُطْوَى بِاللَّيْلِ , فَإِذَا تَغَوَّلَتْ بِكُمُ الْغِيلَانُ فَبَادِرُوا بِالْأَذَانِ , وَلَا تُصَلُّوا عَلَى جَوَادِ الطُّرُقِ , وَلَا تَنْزِلُوا عَلَيْهَا , فَإِنَّهَا مَأْوَى الْحَيَّاتِ وَالسِّبَاعِ , وَلَا تَقْضُوا عَلَيْهَا الْحَوَائِجَ فَإِنَّهَا الْمَلَاعِنُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you travel through a lush and green area, let your mounts benefit from its greenery and do not go beyond the stop. And when you travel through dry land, then pass through it quickly, and in that case, prefer to travel at night, because at night it feels as if the earth is being folded up. And if you get lost on the way, then call the Adhan. Also, do not pray standing in the middle of the road, nor camp there, because those are the abodes of snakes and wild beasts, and do not relieve yourself there, for that is a cause of curse.
Hadith 15092
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The slave who marries without the permission of his master commits adultery."
Hadith 15093
(حديث مرفوع) (حديث موقوف) قَالَ : وَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ أَخْوَفَ مَا أَخَافُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي , عَمَلُ قَوْمِ لُوطٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: The thing I fear most for my Ummah is the action of the people of Lot.
Hadith 15094
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا
الْحَجَّاجُ , عَنْ
أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ
جَابِرٍ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي الْحَيَوَانِ اثْنَانِ بِوَاحِدٍ : " لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ يَدًا بِيَدٍ , وَلَا خَيْرَ فِيهِ نَسَاءٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the sale of two animals for one on credit, but if the transaction is in cash, then there is no harm.
Hadith 15095
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever is a partner in a piece of land or a garden should not sell it to anyone else without first offering it to his partner. If the partner wishes, he may take it; otherwise, he may leave it.
Hadith 15096
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that we used to perform the Maghrib prayer with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and then return to our homes, which were at a distance of one mile, and we could still see the place where an arrow would fall.
Hadith 15097
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had cupping done while in the state of ihram due to a pain in his leg or a sprain in his back.
Hadith 15098
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
أَبُو قَطَنٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
هِشَامٌ , عَنْ
أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ
جَابِرٍ , قَالَ : " خَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي يَوْمٍ شَدِيدِ الْحَرِّ , فَصَلَّى بِأَصْحَابِهِ , فَأَطَالَ الْقَيَّامَ حَتَّى جَعَلُوا يَخِرُّونَ , ثُمَّ رَكَعَ فَأَطَالَ , ثُمَّ رَفَعَ فَأَطَالَ , ثُمَّ رَكَعَ فَأَطَالَ , ثُمَّ رَفَعَ فَأَطَالَ , ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ , ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَنَعَ نَحْوًا مِنْ ذَلِكَ , فَكَانَتْ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ , وَأَرْبَعَ سَجَدَاتٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once during the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), there was a solar eclipse in intense heat. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led his companions in a long prayer until people began to fall down. Then he performed a long bowing (ruku‘), then stood up for a long time after raising his head, then performed another long bowing, and then stood up for a long time after raising his head, then performed two prostrations. In the second rak‘ah, he did the same. Thus, there were four bowings and four prostrations in this prayer.
Hadith 15099
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade marrying a woman in the presence of her paternal or maternal aunt.
Hadith 15100
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted the people of Banu Amr to use incantations for scorpion stings.
Hadith 15101
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ , حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ , عَنْ
عَطَاءٍ , عَنْ
جَابِرٍ , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي يَوْمِ عِيدٍ , " بَدَأَ بِالصَّلَاةِ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ , بِغَيْرِ أَذَانٍ وَلَا إِقَامَةٍ " .

رَوْحٌ , حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ , أَخْبَرَنِي
أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ
جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , يَقُولُ : لَدَغَتْ رَجُلًا مِنَّا عَقْرَبٌ , وَنَحْنُ جُلُوسٌ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , أَرْقِيهِ ؟ ، فَقَالَ : " مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَنْفَعَ أَخَاهُ فَلْيَنْفَعْهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when a man was stung by a scorpion. Another man said, "O Messenger of Allah! Should I recite (a ruqyah) over him?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever can benefit his brother should do so."
Hadith 15103
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ , أَخْبَرَنِي
أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ
جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَا عَدْوَى , وَلَا صَفَرَ , وَلَا غُولَ " ، وَسَمِعْت أَبَا الزُّبَيْرِ يَذْكُرُ , أَنَّ جَابِرًا فَسَّرَ لَهُمْ قَوْلَهُ : " لَا صَفَرَ " ، فَقَالَ أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ : الصَّفَرُ الْبَطْنُ ، قِيلَ لِجَابِرٍ : كَيْفَ هَذَا الْقَوْلُ ؟ ، فَقَالَ : دَوَابُّ الْبَطْنِ ، قَالَ : وَلَمْ يُفَسِّرْ الْغُولَ ، قَالَ أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ : مِنْ قِبَلِهِ هَذَا الْغُولُ الَّتِي تَغَوَّلُ , الشَّيْطَانَةُ الَّتِي يَقُولُونَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "There is no contagion of disease, no ill omen in the month of Safar, and no reality in ghosts and spirits."
Hadith 15104
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
رَوْحٌ , حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ , أَخْبَرَنِي
أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ
جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " طَعَامُ الْوَاحِدِ يَكْفِي الِاثْنَيْنِ , وَطَعَامُ الِاثْنَيْنِ يَكْفِي الْأَرْبَعَةَ , وَطَعَامُ الْأَرْبَعَةِ يَكْفِي الثَّمَانِيَةَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The food of one person is enough for two, the food of two is enough for four, and the food of four is enough for eight people.
