It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the chief of the hypocrites, Abdullah bin Ubayy, died, his son, who was a sincere Muslim, came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! If you do not participate in his funeral prayer, people will always taunt us." So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went to him and saw that he had already been placed in the grave. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Why was I not informed before he was placed in the grave?" Then he had him taken out of the grave, applied his saliva from his forehead to his feet, and dressed him in his own shirt.
Hadith 14987
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), an Ansari man whose name was mentioned freed his slave, whose name was Yaqub, saying, "After my death, you are free," and he had no other wealth besides him. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) learned of his destitute condition, he said, "Who will buy this slave from me?" Na’eem bin Abdullah bought him for eight hundred dirhams. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him that money and said, "When any of you is in difficulty, he should begin charity with himself. If anything remains, then on his children, then on his close relatives, and then spend on those to his right and left."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I participated in a jihad journey with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). On the return, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever wants to go quickly may go. I was riding a fast camel; there was no camel like it in the whole army. I made it run and everyone was left behind me. Suddenly, while walking, my camel stopped at one place and would not move. I heard the voice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), what happened to your camel?" I replied: "O Messenger of Allah! I do not understand what has happened to it." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Hold it and give me the whip." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) struck it once, and it took me ahead of everyone. On this occasion, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), will you sell your camel to me?" I replied: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you reach Madinah." When we reached Madinah, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered Masjid Nabawi with his companions. I tied my camel and said: "O Messenger of Allah! Here is your camel." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out, circled around it, and said: "How beautiful is my camel!" Then he said: "O so-and-so, go and bring a few ounces of gold and give them to Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him)." When I received the price, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You have received the full price." I replied: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said twice: "This price is yours, and the camel is also yours."

Abu Mutawakkil says that once I presented myself before Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) and requested him: Tell me a hadith which you have witnessed yourself. He said: My father passed away and he owed a debt of some wasqs of dates. We had a few different types of dates and some ‘ajwah, which were not enough to pay off the debt. So I went to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and mentioned this matter to him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent me to the creditor, but he refused to accept any dates except ‘ajwah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Go and give him ‘ajwah. So I went to my tent and started cutting the dates. We also had a goat which we used to feed grass and it had become very healthy. Suddenly, we saw two men approaching. When they came near, we saw that they were the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and Sayyiduna Umar. I welcomed both of them. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), come with us, we want to take a round of your garden. I said: Very well. So we took a round of the garden. Meanwhile, I instructed my wife and she slaughtered the kid of the goat. Then we brought a cushion which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) leaned on. It was made of hair and filled with palm bark, but we could not find another cushion for Sayyiduna Umar. After a short while, I spread the dining cloth and brought two kinds of dates and meat and placed them before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and Sayyiduna Umar. Both of them ate. I was naturally shy. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) got up to leave, my wife requested him to pray for us. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed for blessings for us. After that, I called my creditors. They came with sickles and shears, but by the One in Whose hand is my soul, I paid them twenty wasqs of ‘ajwah dates from that garden, and even then a large quantity was left over. I went to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to give him this good news that Allah had shown me such kindness. When I gave the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) this good news, he said twice: “O Allah, to You belongs all praise.” Then he said to Sayyiduna Umar: Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) has paid off all his creditors’ debts. Sayyiduna Umar also began to thank Allah.
Hadith 15006
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever has a piece of land, he should cultivate it himself or give it as a gift to his brother.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "Tell me, if I fight in the way of Allah with my life and wealth, remaining steadfast, seeking reward, advancing forward and not turning my back, and I am martyred, will I enter Paradise?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes! As long as you do not die in a state that you owe a debt and you have nothing with which to pay it."
Hadith 15011
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to visit me when I was ill. At that time, he was riding a mule, not a horse.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I was once on a journey with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Suddenly, while walking, my camel stopped at a place and would not move. I heard the voice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Jabir, what has happened to your camel?" I replied, "O Messenger of Allah! I do not understand what has happened to it." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Hold it and give me the whip." I gave the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) the whip. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) struck it once, and it took me ahead of everyone. On this occasion, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me, "Jabir, will you sell me your camel?" I replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "When we reach Madinah." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Did you get married after your father's martyrdom?" I replied, "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "To a virgin or to a previously married woman?" I replied, "To a previously married woman." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Why did you not marry a virgin, so that she would play with you and you would play with her, she would make you laugh and you would make her laugh?"

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once during the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), there was a severe heat and a solar eclipse occurred. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the companions in prayer and stood for a long time until people began to faint. Then he bowed for a long time, then raised his head and stood for a long time, and did the same again. He performed two prostrations and then stood up and led the second rak'ah in the same manner. During the prayer, he began to move backwards, and after a while, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) moved forward and stood in his place. On this occasion, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Everything that you have been promised, I saw during this prayer. Paradise was presented before me; if I had wanted to pluck a bunch of its fruits, I could have done so. Then Hell was also brought before me. This was the time when you saw me moving backwards, because I feared that its flames might reach you. I saw in Hell the woman with the cat, who had tied it up, neither feeding it herself nor letting it go so that it could eat the insects of the earth and fill its belly, until it died in that state. Similarly, I saw Abu Thumamah Amr bin Malik in Hell, dragging his intestines. And the sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of Allah which Allah shows you, so when they are eclipsed, perform prayer until they become clear."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the valley of Nakhlah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) led the companions in the Zuhr prayer. The polytheists intended to attack the Muslims and said, "Leave them; after this prayer, they will perform another prayer which is dearer to them than even their children." Sayyiduna Jibreel came down and informed the Prophet (peace be upon him) about this. So, on this occasion, the Prophet (peace be upon him) divided us into two rows and stood at the front himself. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said the takbeer and we also said the takbeer with him. Then he bowed (in ruku‘) and we all bowed with him. Then, when he raised his head from ruku‘ and went into prostration (sajdah), only those in the first row performed sajdah with him, while the second row remained standing facing the enemy. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the people of the first row stood up, the people of the back row performed sajdah. After this, the people of the back row came forward and the people of the front row went to the back. Then we all bowed together, and when the Prophet (peace be upon him) performed sajdah, the people of the first row also performed sajdah, and when they sat down, the people of the back row also performed sajdah.

Abdullah bin Muhammad says that once I was present in the service of Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), and with me were Muhammad bin Amr and Asbathhi, who had set out to seek knowledge. We asked Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) about the issue of performing ablution after eating something cooked on fire. He replied: Once I went to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the Prophet’s Mosque to meet him, but I did not find him there. I inquired and was told that he had gone to the place of As-Suf to the daughters of Sa’d bin Rabi’ in order to distribute their father’s inheritance among them. These were the first women in the era of Islam to receive their father’s inheritance. I left from there and reached the place of As-Suf, where the wealth of Sa’d bin Rabi’ was. I saw that a bed made of date-palm fibers had been sprinkled with water to soften it for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he was sitting on it. Meanwhile, food was brought, which included bread and meat, specially prepared for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate from it, and others also ate. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) urinated and performed ablution for the Zuhr prayer. The people also performed ablution, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led them in the Zuhr prayer. After completing the prayer, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sat down again and completed the remaining work of distributing the inheritance until the time for prayer arrived and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished with their matter. Then those people also ate again. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and led us in prayer, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not touch the water, nor did any of the people touch it.

My prayer, my sacrifice, my life, and my death are all for Allah, the Lord of the worlds, who has no partner. I have been commanded this, and I am the first of the Muslims. In the name of Allah, Allah is the Greatest. O Allah, this is from You and for You, so accept it from Muhammad and the Ummah of Muhammad.
Hadith 15023
Ibrahim bin Abdur Rahman and Hasan bin Muhammad say that once we went to Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him). He was wrapped in a cloth and performing prayer, although another sheet was also near the wall of the mosque. When he finished the prayer with salam, he said: I did this so that you both could see; I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) doing this.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever, by swearing a false oath near my pulpit, usurps the right of a Muslim, Allah will surely admit him into Hell, even if it is because of a fresh miswak.
Hadith 15025
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned the companions of Uhud, I would hear him say, "I wish I had also been among those martyred in the surprise attack along with those on the top of the mountain."
