It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man, whose name was Anjasha, was driving the mounts of the Mothers of the Believers. He began to drive the animals quickly. Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Anjasha! Drive these glass vessels gently."

While I was watching their game, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came and greeted the children who were playing, and called me and sent me on an errand, and he himself sat in the shade of a wall until I returned. When I reached home, Hazrat Umm Sulaim (may Allah be pleased with her) (my mother) asked, "Why did you take so long?" I told her that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had sent me on an errand. She asked, "What was the errand?" I said, "It is a secret." She said, "Then protect the secret of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Thabit! If he were to disclose that secret to anyone, he would have disclosed it to you."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You go down into the grave." So he went down into the grave.

And he used to perform the Friday prayer at the time of decline (of the sun), and when he set out for Makkah Mukarramah, he would perform two rak'ahs of Zuhr.

He replied, "I have not prepared many good deeds, prayers, or fasts, but I do love Allah and His Messenger." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "A person will be with the one whom he loves on the Day of Judgment." Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says, "I have never seen the Muslims as happy as they were on that day after accepting Islam."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to prepare to attack the enemy at the time of dawn and would listen attentively. If he heard the sound of the adhan from there, he would stop; otherwise, he would attack. One day, in the same manner, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) listened attentively and heard a man saying "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "He is upon the sound nature." Then when the man said "Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah," the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You have been saved from the fire of Hell."

People began to say, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Has this been sent down to you from the heavens?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Are you amazed at this? By the One in Whose hand is my soul, in Paradise, the handkerchiefs of Sa’d bin Mu’adh (may Allah be pleased with him) are far better than this." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent that cloak to Hazrat Ja’far (may Allah be pleased with him). He wore it, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I did not give it to you to wear." He asked, "Then what should I do with it?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Send it to your brother Najashi."

Some people ate and some refrained. Then, on Monday, we visited again, and he again called for a dining mat and invited us to eat as before. This time too, some people ate and some did not. Seeing this, Hazrat Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, said, "Perhaps you are among those who fast on Mondays and Thursdays." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would sometimes fast so much that we would think that this year the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not intend to leave any fasts, and sometimes he would break his fast so much that we would think that this year the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not intend to fast at all. And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, liked to fast in the month of Sha'ban the most.

When Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) found out, he said, "By Allah! I will make him accept it." So he went to Ibn Ziyad and said to him, "Were you people mentioning the Hawd of Kawthar?" Ibn Ziyad asked, "Did you hear the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mention it?" He replied, "Yes! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned it countless times, saying that the distance between its two banks is as much as between Aylah and Makkah (or between Sana'a and Makkah), and its vessels will be more numerous than the stars in the sky."

The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: How does He use him? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He grants him the ability to perform righteous deeds before his death.

One day, as usual, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came and slept on her bed. She came home and saw that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was drenched in sweat. She absorbed that sweat with cotton and squeezed it into a bottle, and mixed it with her perfume.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In Hell, a servant will keep calling upon Allah with "Ya Hannan, Ya Mannan" for a thousand years. Allah Almighty will say to Hazrat Jibreel (peace be upon him): Go and bring My servant. Jibreel will go, and upon reaching there, he will find the people of Hell lying face down on top of each other, and they will be weeping. (Hazrat Jibreel, peace be upon him, will not recognize him) and will return and inform the Lord of his condition. Allah Almighty will say: He is in such and such a place; bring him from there to Me. Thus, Jibreel (peace be upon him) will bring him and present him in the Divine Presence. Allah Almighty will ask him: O servant! How did you find your abode and resting place? He will say: O Lord! The worst abode and the worst resting place. Allah Almighty will say: Take My servant back to Hell. He will say: O Lord! When You had me taken out of Hell, I did not expect that You would return me to it again. Upon this, Allah Almighty will say: Leave My servant.
