Hadith 13377
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ وَأيُوب ، عَنْ أَبِي قلابَة ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مَسِيرٍ لَهُ ، وَكَانَ مَعَهُ غُلَامٌ أَسْوَدُ ، يُقَالُ لَهُ : أَنْجَشَةُ ، يَحْدُو ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَيْحَكَ يَا أَنْجَشَةُ ، رُوَيْدًا سَوْقَكَ بِالْقَوَارِيرِ " ، قَالَ : وَفِي حَدِيثِ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ : يَعْنِي النِّسَاءَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man, whose name was Anjasha, was driving the mounts of the Mothers of the Believers. He began to drive the animals quickly. Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Anjasha! Drive these glass vessels gently."
Hadith 13378
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : " مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْلَمَ عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ مَا أَوْلَمَ عَلَى زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ ، قَالَ : فَأَوْلَمَ بِشَاةٍ ، أَوْ ذَبَحَ شَاةً " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that I did not see the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) give a wedding feast for any of his wives like he did on the occasion of Hazrat Zainab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her), in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had a goat slaughtered for the wedding feast.
Hadith 13379
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، وَمُؤَمَّلٌ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلْمٌ الْعَلَوِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ آيَةُ الْحِجَابِ ، ذَهَبْتُ أَدْخُلُ كَمَا كُنْتُ أَدْخُلُ ، فَقَالَ لِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : وَرَاءَكَ يَا بُنَيَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the verse of Hijab was revealed, even then, as usual, I once started to enter the house of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Son! Stay back (enter after taking permission)."
Hadith 13380
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبُ بْنُ حَجَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : خَرَجْتُ مِنْ عِنْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُتَوَجِّهًا إِلَى أَهْلِي ، فَمَرَرْتُ بِغِلْمَانٍ يَلْعَبُونَ ، فَأَعْجَبَنِي لَعِبُهُمْ ، فَقُمْتُ عَلَى الْغِلْمَانِ ، فَانْتَهَى إِلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا قَائِمٌ عَلَى الْغِلْمَانِ ، فَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْغِلْمَانِ ، ثُمَّ أَرْسَلَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَاجَةٍ لَهُ ، فَرَجَعْتُ إِلَى أَهْلِي بَعْدَ السَّاعَةِ الَّتِي كُنْتُ أَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ فِيهَا ، فَقَالَتْ لِي أُمِّي : مَا حَبَسَكَ الْيَوْمَ يَا بُنَيَّ ؟ فَقُلْتُ : أَرْسَلَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَاجَةٍ لَهُ ، فَقَالَتْ : أَيُّ حَاجَةٍ يَا بُنَيَّ ؟ فَقُلْتُ : يَا أُمَّاهُ ، إِنَّهَا سِرٌّ . فَقَالَتْ : يَا بُنَيَّ ، " احْفَظْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سِرَّهُ " ، قَالَ ثَابِتٌ : فَقُلْتُ : يَا أَبَا حَمْزَةَ ، أَتَحْفَظُ تِلْكَ الْحَاجَةَ الْيَوْمَ أَوْ تَذْكُرُهَا ؟ قَالَ : إِي وَاللَّهِ ، إِنِّي لَأَذْكُرُهَا ، وَلَوْ كُنْتُ مُحَدِّثًا بِهَا أَحَدًا مِنَ النَّاسِ ، لَحَدَّثْتُكَ بِهَا يَا ثَابِتُ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when I finished serving the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I thought that now the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would take a nap, so I went out to play with the children. While I was watching their game, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came and greeted the children who were playing, and called me and sent me on an errand, and he himself sat in the shade of a wall until I returned. When I reached home, Hazrat Umm Sulaim (may Allah be pleased with her) (my mother) asked, "Why did you take so long?" I told her that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had sent me on an errand. She asked, "What was the errand?" I said, "It is a secret." She said, "Then protect the secret of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Thabit! If he were to disclose that secret to anyone, he would have disclosed it to you."
Hadith 13381
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، وَحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَزْهَرَ اللَّوْنِ ، كَأنَ عَرَقُهُ اللُّؤْلُؤَ ، إِذَا مَشَى تَكَفَّأَ ، وَلَا مَسِسْتُ دِيبَاجًا وَلَا حَرِيرًا أَلْيَنَ مِنْ كَفِّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَلَا شَمِمْتُ رَائِحَةَ مِسْكٍ وَلَا عَنْبَرٍ ، أَطْيَبَ رَائِحَةً مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " . قَالَ حَسَنٌ : مِسْكَةٍ وَلَا عَنْبَرَةٍ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the complexion of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was radiant, his sweat was like pearls, when he walked he walked with full strength. I have not smelled any amber, musk, or any other fragrance more excellent than the fragrance of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and I have not touched any silk, brocade, or anything softer than the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 13382
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، وَسُرَيْجٌ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ يُونس : قَالَ : صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةً ، وَقَالَ سُرَيْجٌ : " صَلَّى لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا صَلَاةً ، ثُمَّ رَقِيَ الْمِنْبَرَ ، فَقَالَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَفِي الرُّكُوعِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : إِنِّي لَأَرَاكُمْ مِنْ وَرَائِي ، كَمَا أَرَاكُمْ مِنْ أَمَامِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the prayer and ascended the pulpit, and regarding the bowing (ruku) of the prayer, he said: "I see you from behind me just as I see you from in front of me."
Hadith 13383
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، وَسُرَيْجٌ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " شَهِدْنَا ابْنَةً لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَالِسٌ عَلَى الْقَبْرِ ، فَرَأَيْتُ عَيْنَيْهِ تَدْمَعَانِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : هَلْ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ رَجُلٍ لَمْ يُقَارِفْ اللَّيْلَةَ ؟ قَالَ سُرَيْجٌ : يَعْنِي ذَنْبًا ، قَالَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ : أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : فَانْزِلْ ، قَالَ : فَنَزَلَ فِي قَبْرِهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that we were present at the funeral of the daughter of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting by the grave. We saw the eyes of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) glistening with tears. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Is there anyone among you who has not approached his wife at night?" Hazrat Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Yes, I am." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You go down into the grave." So he went down into the grave.
Hadith 13384
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، وَسُرَيْجٌ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ أخْبَرَهُ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ بِقَدْرِ مَا يَذْهَبُ الذَّاهِبُ إِلَى بَنِي حَارِثَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، وَيَرْجِعُ قَبْلَ غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ ، وَبِقَدْرِ مَا يَنْحَرُ الرَّجُلُ الْجَزُورَ ، وَيُبَعِّضُهَا لِغُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ . وَكَانَ يُصَلِّي الْجُمُعَةَ حِينَ تَمِيلُ الشَّمْسُ ، وَكَانَ إِذَا خَرَجَ إِلَى مَكَّةَ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ بِالشَّجَرَةِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform the Asr prayer at such a time that if a person went to the place of Banu Haritha bin Harith, he could return before sunset, and there was enough time that if a man slaughtered a camel, he could divide its portions before sunset. And he used to perform the Friday prayer at the time of decline (of the sun), and when he set out for Makkah Mukarramah, he would perform two rak'ahs of Zuhr.
Hadith 13385
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ وَشُعَيْبِ بْنِ الْحَبْحَابِ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " الدَّجَّالُ أَعْوَرُ ، وَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَيْسَ بِأَعْوَرَ ، مَكْتُوبٌ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ : كَافِرٌ ، يَقْرَؤُهُ كُلُّ مُؤْمِنٍ كَاتِبٌ ، وَغَيْرُ كَاتِبٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Dajjal will be one-eyed, and your Lord is not one-eyed, and between his (Dajjal's) two eyes will be written "Kafir" (disbeliever), which every literate and illiterate Muslim will read.
Hadith 13386
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، وَحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ : أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَتَى تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ ؟ وَعِنْدَهُ غُلَامٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ يُقَالُ لَهُ : مُحَمَّدٌ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِنْ يَعِشْ هَذَا الْغُلَامُ ، فَعَسَى أَنْ لَا يُدْرِكَهُ الْهَرَمُ حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man submitted in the court of the Prophet, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! When will the Hour (Day of Judgment) be established?" At that time, there was also an Ansari boy named Muhammad present with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If this boy lives, it is possible that the Hour will come before he reaches old age."
Hadith 13387
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ وَحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ قِيَامِ السَّاعَةِ ، وَأُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ ، قَالَ : " أَيْنَ السَّائِلُ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ ؟ " فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ : هَا أَنَا ذَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " وَمَا أَعْدَدْتَ لَهَا ؟ فَإِنَّهَا قَائِمَةٌ " ، قَالَ : مَا أَعْدَدْتُ لَهَا مِنْ كَبِيرِ عَمَلٍ ، غَيْرَ أَنِّي أُحِبُّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنْتَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ " ، قَالَ : فَمَا فَرِحَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ بِشَيْءٍ بَعْدَ الإسلام ، أَشَدَّ مِمَّا فَرِحُوا بِهِ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! When will the Hour (Day of Judgment) be established?" At that time, the Iqamah had been pronounced, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to lead the prayer. After finishing the prayer, he said, "Where is the one who asked about the Hour?" He said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I am here." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "What preparation have you made for it?" He replied, "I have not prepared many good deeds, prayers, or fasts, but I do love Allah and His Messenger." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "A person will be with the one whom he loves on the Day of Judgment." Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says, "I have never seen the Muslims as happy as they were on that day after accepting Islam."
Hadith 13388
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، وَحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا ، قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، الرَّجُلُ يُحِبُّ الْقَوْمَ وَلَمْ يَبْلُغْ عَمَلَهُمْ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ " ، قَالَ حَسَنٌ : أَعْمَالَهُمْ ، قَالَ : الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ ، قَالَ ثَابِتٌ : فَكَانَ أَنَسٌ إِذَا حَدَّثَ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ ، قَالَ : اللَّهُمَّ فَإِنَّا نُحِبُّكَ وَنُحِبُّ رَسُولَكَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man submitted in the presence of the Messenger of Allah, "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! A man loves a people but does not reach their deeds, so what is the ruling?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "A person will be with those whom he loves." After narrating this hadith, Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say, "O Allah! We love You and Your Messenger."
Hadith 13389
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَغْرِسُ غَرْسًا ، أَوْ يَزْرَعُ زَرْعًا ، فَيَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ طَيْرٌ ، أَوْ إِنْسَانٌ ، أَوْ بَهِيمَةٌ ، إِلَّا كَانَ لَهُ بِهِ صَدَقَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Any Muslim who plants a field or a tree, and from it a bird, a human, or a wild animal eats, it is regarded as charity for him."
Hadith 13390
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ ، وَقَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَسَحَّرُوا ، فَإِنَّ فِي السَّحُورِ بَرَكَةً " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Partake in suhoor, for there is blessing in suhoor."
Hadith 13391
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَمَّا صَوَّرَ اللَّهُ آدَمَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، تَرَكَهُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَتْرُكَهُ ، فَجَعَلَ إِبْلِيسُ يَطِيفُ بِهِ ، وَيَنْظُرُ مَا هُوَ ، فَلَمَّا رَآهُ أَجْوَفَ ، عَرَفَ أَنَّهُ خُلِقَ خَلْقًا لَمْ يَتَمَالَكْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Allah fashioned the figure of Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him), He left it as it was for some time. Satan would circle around that figure and observe it. When he saw that there was a belly in the middle of this creature’s body, he realized that this creature would not be able to control itself.
Hadith 13392
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا ، قَالَ : " يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ، كَيْفَ يُحْشَرُ الْكَافِرُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ؟ قَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِنَّ الَّذِي أَمْشَاهُ عَلَى رِجْلَيْهِ ، قَادِرٌ عَلَى أَنْ يُمْشِيَهُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ فِي النَّارِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a person asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! How will people be raised on their faces?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "The One who has the power to make them walk on their feet is also able to make them walk on their faces."
Hadith 13393
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : وَحَدَّثَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ قَائِلًا مِنَ النَّاسِ ، قَالَ : " يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ، أَمَا يُرِيدُ الْمَدِينَةَ ؟ قَالَ : بَلَى ، إِنَّهُ لَيَعْمَدُ إِلَيْهَا ، فَيَجِدُ الْمَلَائِكَةَ بِنِقَابِهَا وَأَبْوَابِهَا يَحْرُسُونَهَا مِنَ الدَّجَّالِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet, the Master of both worlds, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The Dajjal will come towards Madinah Munawwarah, but he will find angels guarding it. InshaAllah, neither the Dajjal will be able to enter Madinah nor the plague epidemic.
Hadith 13394
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : وَحَدَّثَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَا بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ مَكْتُوبٌ : ك ف ر مُهَجًّى ، يَقُولُ : كَافِرٌ ، يَقْرَؤُهُ كُلُّ مُؤْمِنٍ أُمِّيٌّ وَكَاتِبٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Dajjal will be one-eyed, and your Lord is not one-eyed, and between his (Dajjal's) two eyes will be written "Kafir" (disbeliever), which every literate and illiterate Muslim will read.
Hadith 13395
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : وَحَدَّثَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّهُ أُهْدِيَ لِنَبِيِّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جُبَّةٌ مِنْ سُنْدُسٍ ، وَكَانَ يَنْهَى عَنِ الْحَرِيرِ ، فَعَجِبَ النَّاسُ مِنْهَا ، فَقَالَ : " وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ ، إِنَّ مَنَادِيلَ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، أَحْسَنُ مِنْ هَذَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that Ukaydir of Duma sent a garment as a gift to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). People began to marvel at its beauty. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "The handkerchiefs of Sa'd, which have been given to him in Paradise, are better and more excellent than this."
Hadith 13396
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ وَهُوَ أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُقْبِلُ عَلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُكَبِّرَ ، فَيَقُولُ : تَرَاصُّوا وَاعْتَدِلُوا ، فَإِنِّي أَرَاكُمْ مِنْ وَرَاءِ ظَهْرِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day the prayer was established, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned towards us and said, "Straighten your rows and stand close together, for I see you from behind me as well."
Hadith 13397
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ ، فَلْيَمْشِ عَلَى هِينَتِهِ ، فَمَا أَدْرَكَهُ صَلَّى ، وَمَا سَبَقَهُ أَتَمَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you comes for prayer, he should walk calmly. Whatever part of the prayer he catches, he should perform, and whatever he misses, he should complete it later.
Hadith 13398
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنَّ رُقَيَّةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا لَمَّا مَاتَتْ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَدْخُلْ الْقَبْرَ رَجُلٌ قَارَفَ أَهْلَهُ " ، فَلَمْ يَدْخُلْ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ الْقَبْرَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the daughter of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Hazrat Ruqayyah (may Allah be pleased with her), passed away, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No person who was intimate with his wife last night will descend into her grave." Thus, Hazrat Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) did not descend into her grave.
Hadith 13399
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " يُغِيرُ عِنْدَ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ ، فَيَسْتَمِعُ الْأَذَانَ ، فَإِذَا سَمِعَ الْأَذَانَ أَمْسَكَ ، وَإِلَّا أَغَارَ ، فَاسْتَمَعَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ ، فَسَمِعَ رَجُلًا يَقُولُ : اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ ، فَقَالَ : أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ، فَقَالَ : خَرَجْتَ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to prepare to attack the enemy at the time of dawn and would listen attentively. If he heard the sound of the adhan from there, he would stop; otherwise, he would attack. One day, in the same manner, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) listened attentively and heard a man saying "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "He is upon the sound nature." Then when the man said "Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah," the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You have been saved from the fire of Hell."
Hadith 13400
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " إِنَّ مَلِكَ الرُّومِ أَهْدَى لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُسْتَقَةً مِنْ سُنْدُسٍ ، فَلَبِسَهَا وَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى يَدَيْهَا تَذَبْذَبَانِ مِنْ طُولِهِمَا ، فَجَعَلَ الْقَوْمُ يَقُولُونَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْكَ هَذِهِ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ ؟ فَقَالَ : وَمَا يُعْجِبُكُمْ مِنْهَا ؟ فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ ، إِنَّ مَنْدِيلًا مِنْ مَنَادِيلِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْهَا ، ثُمَّ بَعَثَ بِهَا إِلَى جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، فَلَبِسَهَا ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِنِّي لَمْ أُعْطِكَهَا لِتَلْبَسَهَا ، قَالَ : فَمَا أَصْنَعُ بِهَا ؟ قَالَ : أَرْسِلْ بِهَا إِلَى أَخِيكَ النَّجَاشِيِّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the king of Rome sent to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) a silk cloak "in which there was gold embroidery." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wore it, and because it was long, it was trailing from the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) hands. People began to say, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Has this been sent down to you from the heavens?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Are you amazed at this? By the One in Whose hand is my soul, in Paradise, the handkerchiefs of Sa’d bin Mu’adh (may Allah be pleased with him) are far better than this." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent that cloak to Hazrat Ja’far (may Allah be pleased with him). He wore it, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I did not give it to you to wear." He asked, "Then what should I do with it?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Send it to your brother Najashi."
Hadith 13401
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَزْمٌ ، عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ سِيَاهٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُمَدَّ لَهُ فِي عُمْرِهِ ، وَأَنْ يُزَادَ لَهُ فِي رِزْقِهِ ، فَلْيَبَرَّ وَالِدَيْهِ ، وَلْيَصِلْ رَحِمَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever wishes that blessings be bestowed in his life and his sustenance be increased, he should treat his parents kindly and maintain the ties of kinship.
Hadith 13402
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، فَذَكَرَ شَيْئًا مِنَ التَّفْسِيرِ ، قَالَ : قَوْلُهُ : يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ امْتَلَأْتِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَا تَزَالُ جَهَنَّمُ تَقُولُ : هَلْ مِنْ مَزِيدٍ ؟ حَتَّى يَضَعَ فِيهَا رَبُّ الْعِزَّةِ قَدَمَهُ ، فَتَقُولُ : قَطْ قَطْ وَعِزَّتِكَ ، وَيُزْوَى بَعْضُهَا إِلَى بَعْضٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Hell will continuously say, "Is there any more? Bring more," until the Lord will place His foot in it. At that time, its parts will draw together and it will say, "By Your honor! Enough, enough."
Hadith 13403
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْنَا أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ فِي يَوْمِ خَمِيسٍ ، فَدَعَا بِمَائِدَتِهِ ، فَدَعَاهُمْ إِلَى الْغَدَاءِ ، فَتَغَدَّى بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ وَأَمْسَكَ بَعْضٌ ، ثُمَّ أَتَوْهُ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ ، فَفَعَلَ مِثْلَهَا ، فَدَعَا بِمَائِدَتِهِ ، ثُمَّ دَعَاهُمْ إِلَى الْغَدَاءِ ، فَأَكَلَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ ، وَأَمْسَكَ بَعْضٌ ، فَقَالَ لَهُمْ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ : لَعَلَّكُمْ اثْنَانِيُّونَ ، لَعَلَّكُمْ خَمِيسِيُّونَ ! كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَصُومُ فَلَا يُفْطِرُ ، حَتَّى نَقُولَ : مَا فِي نَفْسِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُفْطِرَ الْعَامَ ، ثُمَّ يُفْطِرُ فَلَا يَصُومُ ، حَتَّى نَقُولَ : مَا فِي نَفْسِهِ أَنْ يَصُومَ الْعَامَ ، وَكَانَ أَحَبُّ الصَّوْمِ إِلَيْهِ فِي شَعْبَانَ " .
Anas bin Sirin, may Allah have mercy on him, says that once we visited Hazrat Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, on a Thursday. He called for a dining mat for us and invited us to eat. Some people ate and some refrained. Then, on Monday, we visited again, and he again called for a dining mat and invited us to eat as before. This time too, some people ate and some did not. Seeing this, Hazrat Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, said, "Perhaps you are among those who fast on Mondays and Thursdays." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would sometimes fast so much that we would think that this year the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not intend to leave any fasts, and sometimes he would break his fast so much that we would think that this year the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not intend to fast at all. And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, liked to fast in the month of Sha'ban the most.
Hadith 13404
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، وَحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ السَّخْتِيَانِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ ، حَتَّى يَتَبَاهَى النَّاسُ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Hour will not be established until people begin to boast to one another regarding their mosques.
Hadith 13405
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، وَحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِك : أَنَّ قَوْمًا ذَكَرُوا عِنْدَ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْحَوْضَ ، قَالَ حَسَنٌ : عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ : أَنَّهُ ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْحَوْضَ ، فَأَنْكَرَهُ ، وَقَالَ : مَا الْحَوْضُ ؟ ! فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ، فَقَالَ : لَا جَرَمَ وَاللَّهِ لَأَفْعَلَنَّ ، فَأَتَاهُ ، فَقَالَ : ذَكَرْتُمْ الْحَوْضَ ؟ فَقَالَ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ : هَلْ سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَذْكُرُهُ ؟ فَقَالَ : نَعَمْ ، يَقُولُ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ كَذَا وَكَذَا مَرَّةً ، يَقُول : " إِنَّ مَا بَيْنَ طَرَفَيْهِ كَمَا بَيْنَ أَيْلَةَ إِلَى مَكَّةَ ، أَوْ : مَا بَيْنَ صَنْعَاءَ وَمَكَّةَ ، وَإِنَّ آنِيَتَهُ أَكْثَرُ مِنْ نُجُومِ السَّمَاءِ " ، قَالَ حَسَنٌ : " وَإِنَّ آنِيَتَهُ لَأَكْثَرُ مِنْ عَدَدِ نُجُومِ السَّمَاءِ " .
Khawaja Hasan Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once, in the presence of Ubaidullah bin Ziyad, some people mentioned the Hawd (Pond) of Kawthar. He denied it, saying, "What kind of pond?" When Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) found out, he said, "By Allah! I will make him accept it." So he went to Ibn Ziyad and said to him, "Were you people mentioning the Hawd of Kawthar?" Ibn Ziyad asked, "Did you hear the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mention it?" He replied, "Yes! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned it countless times, saying that the distance between its two banks is as much as between Aylah and Makkah (or between Sana'a and Makkah), and its vessels will be more numerous than the stars in the sky."
Hadith 13406
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّهُ ذُكِرَ الْحَوْضُ عِنْدَ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : وَاللَّهِ لَأَفْعَلَنَّ بِهِ وَلَأَفْعَلَنَّ .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 13407
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، وَحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ثَلَاثٌ مَنْ كُنَّ فِيهِ وَجَدَ بِهِنَّ حَلَاوَةَ الْإِيمَانِ : مَنْ كَانَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِمَّا سِوَاهُمَا ، وَرَجُلٌ يُحِبُّ رَجُلًا لَا يُحِبُّهُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ ، وَرَجُلٌ أَنْ يُقْذَفَ فِي النَّارِ ، أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ يَهُودِيًّا وَنَصْرَانِيًّا " ، قَالَ حَسَنٌ : أَوْ نَصْرَانِيًّا .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There are three things, whoever possesses them will taste the sweetness of faith: First, that Allah and His Messenger are more beloved to him than anyone else; second, that when he loves someone, he loves him only for the sake of Allah; and third, that after being saved from disbelief, he dislikes returning to it just as he would dislike being thrown into the fire.
Hadith 13408
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ يُرِدْ اللَّهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا اسْتَعْمَلَهُ ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا اسْتِعْمَالُهُ ؟ قَالَ : يُوَفِّقُهُ لِعَمَلٍ صَالِحٍ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Allah Almighty intends good for a servant, He uses him. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: How does He use him? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He grants him the ability to perform righteous deeds before his death.
Hadith 13409
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَأْتِي بَيْتَ أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ ، فَيَنَامُ عَلَى فِرَاشِهَا ، وَلَيْسَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ فِي بَيْتِهَا ، فَتَأْتِي فَتَجِدُهُ نَائِمًا ، وَكَانَ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاة وَالسَّلَامُ إِذَا نَامَ ذَا عَرَقٍ ، فَتَأْخُذُ عَرَقَهُ بِقُطْنَةٍ فِي قَارُورَةٍ ، فَتَجْعَلُهُ فِي سُكِّهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to come to the house of Hazrat Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) and sleep on her bed, and she would not be there. One day, as usual, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came and slept on her bed. She came home and saw that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was drenched in sweat. She absorbed that sweat with cotton and squeezed it into a bottle, and mixed it with her perfume.
Hadith 13410
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِلَالٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، " أَنَّ شَجَرَةً كَانَتْ عَلَى طَرِيقِ النَّاسِ كَانَتْ تُؤْذِيهِمْ ، فَأَتَاهَا رَجُلٌ ، فَعَزَلَهَا عَنْ طَرِيقِ النَّاسِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ يَتَقَلَّبُ فِي ظِلِّهَا فِي الْجَنَّةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that there was a tree causing harm to those passing by on the road. A man came and removed it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I saw him walking under the shade of the trees in Paradise.
Hadith 13411
(حديث قدسي) حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَّامٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مِسْكِينٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي ظِلَالٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ عَبْدًا فِي جَهَنَّمَ لَيُنَادِي أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ : يَا حَنَّانُ ، يَا مَنَّانُ ، قَالَ : فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ لِجِبْرِيلَ : اذْهَبْ فَأْتِنِي بِعَبْدِي هَذَا ، فَيَنْطَلِقُ جِبْرِيلُ ، فَيَجِدُ أَهْلَ النَّارِ مُكِبِّينَ يَبْكُونَ ، فَيَرْجِعُ إِلَى رَبِّهِ ، فَيُخْبِرُهُ ، فَيَقُولُ : ائْتِنِي بِهِ ، فَإِنَّهُ فِي مَكَانِ كَذَا وَكَذَا ، فَيَجِيءُ بِهِ ، فَيُوقِفُهُ عَلَى رَبِّهِ ، فَيَقُولُ لَهُ : يَا عَبْدِي ، كَيْفَ وَجَدْتَ مَكَانَكَ وَمَقِيلَكَ ؟ فَيَقُولُ : أَيْ رَبِّ ، شَرَّ مَكَانٍ ، وَشَرَّ مَقِيلٍ ، فَيَقُولُ : رُدُّوا عَبْدِي ، فَيَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ ، مَا كُنْتُ أَرْجُو إِذْ أَخْرَجْتَنِي مِنْهَا أَنْ تَرُدَّنِي فِيهَا ، فَيَقُولُ : دَعُوا عَبْدِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In Hell, a servant will keep calling upon Allah with "Ya Hannan, Ya Mannan" for a thousand years. Allah Almighty will say to Hazrat Jibreel (peace be upon him): Go and bring My servant. Jibreel will go, and upon reaching there, he will find the people of Hell lying face down on top of each other, and they will be weeping. (Hazrat Jibreel, peace be upon him, will not recognize him) and will return and inform the Lord of his condition. Allah Almighty will say: He is in such and such a place; bring him from there to Me. Thus, Jibreel (peace be upon him) will bring him and present him in the Divine Presence. Allah Almighty will ask him: O servant! How did you find your abode and resting place? He will say: O Lord! The worst abode and the worst resting place. Allah Almighty will say: Take My servant back to Hell. He will say: O Lord! When You had me taken out of Hell, I did not expect that You would return me to it again. Upon this, Allah Almighty will say: Leave My servant.
Hadith 13412
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَطِيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَفَعَهُ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا حَضَرَ الْعَشَاءُ ، وَأُقِيمَتْ الصَّلَاةُ ، فَابْدَءُوا بِالْعَشَاءِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the night meal is brought before you and the prayer is established, then eat the food first.
Hadith 13413
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مَالِكًا يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " دَخَلَ مَكَّةَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ الْمِغْفَرُ ، فَلَمَّا نَزَعَهُ ، جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : ابْنُ خَطَلٍ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَة ، فَقَالَ : اقْتُلُوهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the conquest of Makkah, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered Makkah, he was wearing a helmet. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took it off, someone came and informed him that Ibn Khatal was clinging to the curtains of the Ka'bah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Even then, kill him."
Hadith 13414
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ أَخَفِّ النَّاسِ صَلَاةً فِي تَمَامٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the prayer of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was the lightest and most complete.
Hadith 13415
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قَطَنٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " أَتَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى رَجُلٍ يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً ، قَالَ : ارْكَبْهَا ، قَالَ : إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ ! قَالَ : ارْكَبْهَا ، قَالَ : إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ ! قَالَ : ارْكَبْهَا وَيْحَكَ ، أَوْ وَيْلَكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a man who was driving a sacrificial animal. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told him to ride it. He replied, "This is a sacrificial animal." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told him two or three times to ride it.
Hadith 13416
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قَطَنٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " ابْنُ أُخْتِ الْقَوْمِ مِنْهُمْ ، أَوْ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the Ansar, "Is there anyone among you besides yourselves?" They replied, "We have a nephew." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "A people's nephew is counted among them."
