Let us go to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) so that he may supplicate to Allah for us to cause springs to flow from these mountains." When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw them, he said, "Welcome, O Ansar! By Allah! Today, whatever you ask of me, I will give you, and whatever I ask Allah for you, Allah will surely grant it to me." Hearing this, they said to one another, "Consider this an opportunity and ask for forgiveness for your sins." So they said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Supplicate to Allah for our forgiveness." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O Allah! Forgive the Ansar, the children of the Ansar, and the children of the children of the Ansar." They said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! What about our other offspring, are they not included among us?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) included them in the supplication as well. Then they mentioned their freed slaves, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) included them too.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day when alcohol was made unlawful, I went to the house of Hazrat Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him); he was serving it to people. When its prohibition became known, he ordered me to pour out all the alcohol from your vessels. By Allah! Other people also poured out the alcohol from their vessels, until the smell of alcohol began to come from the streets of Madinah, and at that time their alcohol was only nabidh made by mixing fresh and dried dates. Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that a man came to the court of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I had the wealth of an orphan with me, and I bought alcohol with it. Do you permit me to sell it and return the money to the orphan? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: May Allah curse the Jews, for fat was made unlawful for them, so they sold it and consumed its price, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not permit the selling of alcohol.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), there was a man "who had some weakness in his intellect" and used to buy and sell (and would be deceived). His family members came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Impose a restriction on so-and-so regarding buying and selling because his intellect is weak. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called him and forbade him from buying and selling. He said, O Messenger of Allah! I cannot refrain from this work. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, If you cannot leave buying and selling, then when making a transaction, say: "There is no deception in this transaction."

The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! What have you seen?" He replied, "I have seen Paradise and Hell with my own eyes. When he reaches the age of seventy, Allah Almighty and all those in the heavens begin to love him. When he reaches the age of eighty, Allah accepts his good deeds and forgives his sins. It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every prophet had a supplication which he certainly made and it was accepted, whereas I have reserved my supplication for interceding for my Ummah on the Day of Resurrection.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that after the arrival of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in Madinah, people used to give date trees and other property from their wealth to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would distribute them among the people. Until Banu Qurayza and Banu Nadir were conquered, then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) started returning those trees to their owners. Seeing this, my family instructed me to also go to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and request that their family had given two trees. Anyway! Upon my request, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned them to me. Meanwhile, Hazrat Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with her) also came and put a cloth around my neck and said, "By Allah, besides whom there is no deity, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) can never give you these trees when he has already given them to me." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her, "You may take so many trees in exchange for them," but she kept refusing, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept increasing the number of trees, until she was pleased with ten times more trees, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave them to her.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that someone advised the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to go to (the chief of the hypocrites) Abdullah bin Ubayy. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out riding his donkey, and the Muslims also set out with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on foot. The ground was soft. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached him, he said, "Stay away from me, the smell of your donkey is troubling me." Upon this, an Ansari said, "By Allah! The donkey of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is more fragrant than you." Then a man from the people of Abdullah bin Ubayy became angry on his behalf, and then anger spread among the companions of both sides, and it came to the point of fighting with branches, hands, and shoes. We came to know that this verse was revealed about them: "If two groups of Muslims fight each other, then make peace between them."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out towards Badr, he consulted the people. In response, Hazrat Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) gave an opinion. Then, when he asked for advice again, Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) gave an opinion. Seeing this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent. The Ansar said, "O Messenger of Allah! Perhaps you mean us?" Hazrat Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! By Him in Whose hand is my soul, if you command us, we will plunge into the seas, and if you command us, we will go to Bark al-Ghamad, driving the camels to exhaustion. Therefore, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), the matter is in your hands." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) then prepared his companions (may Allah be pleased with them) and set out, and camped at Badr. Some spies from the Quraysh came, among them was a black slave from Banu Hajjaj. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) captured him and asked him about Abu Sufyan and his companions. He said, "I do not know about Abu Sufyan, but the Quraysh, Abu Jahl, and Umayyah bin Khalaf have arrived." When they beat him, he would start telling them about Abu Sufyan, and when they let him go, he would say, "What do I know about Abu Sufyan? But the Quraysh have arrived." At that time, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was praying. After finishing the prayer, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "When he tells you the truth, you beat him, and when he lies, you let him go." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed with his hand and said, "If Allah wills, tomorrow so-and-so will fall here, and so-and-so will fall here." Thus, when the confrontation took place, Allah defeated the polytheists, and by Allah, not a single man fell except at the place the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had indicated. After three days, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to their corpses and said, "O Abu Jahl bin Hisham! O Utbah bin Rabi'ah! O Shaybah bin Rabi'ah! And O Umayyah bin Khalaf! Did you find true what your Lord promised you? I have found true what my Lord promised me." Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Are you calling out to people who have been dead for three days?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You do not hear what I am saying any better than they do, but they cannot reply." Then, by the order of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), they were dragged by their feet and thrown into the well of Badr.

The Ansar said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Perhaps you mean us?" Hazrat Sa'd bin Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! By Him in Whose hand is my soul, if you command us, we will plunge into the seas, and if you command us, we will go to Bark al-Ghamad, driving the camels to exhaustion..." Then the narrator mentioned the entire hadith.
