It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to have his head shaved (on the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage), Hazrat Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) took some hair from one part of his head in his hands. Then those hairs were taken by Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her), and she used to put them in her perfume.

Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that during this time, a slave of Hazrat Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him), who was my age, passed by, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If he lives, he will not reach old age before the Hour is established."

Hearing this, they said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! Please pray to Allah for our forgiveness." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "O Allah! Forgive the Ansar, the children of the Ansar, and the children of the children of the Ansar."

When he admitted it, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said (to his companions), "When any of the People of the Book greet you, just say 'Wa Alaik' (and upon you)."

At that moment, this verse was revealed to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Indeed, We have given you a clear conquest... a straight path." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Two verses have been revealed to me which are more beloved to me than the whole world." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited them. Upon hearing this, a Muslim said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Congratulations to you, for Allah has granted you this bounty. What is there for us?" Upon this, the following verse was revealed: "That He may admit the believing men and believing women to gardens... a great success."

If he is in Paradise, I will be patient, otherwise, you will see what I do." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O Umm Haritha! Paradise is not just one; there are many Paradises, and Haritha is in the most excellent of them."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated against the tribes of Ri'l, Dhakwan, Banu Lihyan, and 'Usayyah—"who had disobeyed Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)"—for thirty days. These people had martyred the companions at Bi'r Ma'unah, and regarding this, a verse of the Noble Qur'an was also revealed which we used to recite (then its recitation was abrogated): "Convey from us to our people that we have met our Lord, and He is pleased with us and we are pleased with Him."
