Hadith 13218
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَحْلِقَ رَأْسَهُ ، قَبَضَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ عَلَى أَحَدِ شِقَّيْ رَأْسِهِ ، فَلَمَّا حَلَقَهُ الْحَجَّامُ أَخَذَهُ ، فَجَاءَ بِهِ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ ، فَجَعَلَتْ تَجْعَلُهُ فِي طِيبِهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to have his head shaved (on the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage), Hazrat Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) took some hair from one part of his head in his hands. Then those hairs were taken by Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her), and she used to put them in her perfume.
Hadith 13219
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، وَحَسَنٌ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ كَأَنِّي اللَّيْلَةَ فِي دَارِ رَافِعِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، قَالَ حَسَنٌ فِي دَارِ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ رَافِعٍ ، فَأُوتِينَا بِتَمْرٍ مِنْ تَمْرِ ابْنِ طَابٍ ، فَأَوَّلْتُ أَنَّ لَنَا الرِّفْعَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْعَاقِبَةَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ ، وَأَنَّ دِينَنَا قَدْ طَابَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Last night I saw in a dream that it was as if I was in the house of Rafi‘ bin ‘Uqbah, and there were dates called 'Ibn Tab' presented before us. I interpreted this as follows: (from the word Rafi‘) elevation in this world, (from the word ‘Uqbah) the best outcome in the Hereafter is for us, and (from the word Tab) our religion is pure."
Hadith 13220
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ بَكْرٍ الْمُزَنِيَّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ ، قَالَ : وَلَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : " مَا رُفِعَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمْرٌ فِيهِ الْقِصَاصُ ، إِلَّا أَمَرَ فِيهِ بِالْعَفْوِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever a case of retribution (qisas) was presented before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) always encouraged forgiveness in it.
Hadith 13221
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ إِذَا تَكَلَّمَ بِكَلِمَةٍ رَدَّدَهَا ثَلَاثًا ، وَإِذَا أَتَى قَوْمًا فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ سَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ ثَلَاثًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said something, he would repeat it three times, and when he went to a group of people, he would greet them with salam three times.
Hadith 13222
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِسْطَامُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ الْحَدانِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " شَفَاعَتِي لِأَهْلِ الْكَبَائِرِ مِنْ أُمَّتِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Among my Ummah, those who commit major sins will be deserving of my intercession.
Hadith 13223
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمَّارٌ أَبُو هَاشِمٍ صَاحِبُ الزَّعْفَرَانِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ نَاوَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كِسْرَةً مِنْ خُبْزِ شَعِيرٍ ، فَقَالَ : " هَذَا أَوَّلُ طَعَامٍ أَكَلَهُ أَبُوكِ مِنْ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Hazrat Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) presented a piece of barley bread before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is the first food your father is eating after three days."
Hadith 13224
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ الْقَطَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ قِيَامِ السَّاعَةِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا أَعْدَدْتَ لَهَا ؟ " قَالَ : لَا ، إِلَّا أَنِّي أُحِبُّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ، قَالَ : " الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ " ثُمَّ قَالَ : " أَيْنَ السَّائِلُ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ ؟ " قَالَ : وَثَمَّ غُلَامٌ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنْ يَعِشْ هَذَا فَلَنْ يَبْلُغَ الْهَرَمَ حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a Bedouin came and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), when will the Hour (Day of Judgment) be established?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "What preparation have you made for the Hour?" He replied, "I have not prepared many good deeds, but I do love Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You will be with those whom you love." Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that during this time, a slave of Hazrat Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him), who was my age, passed by, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If he lives, he will not reach old age before the Hour is established."
Hadith 13225
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَرْبُ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ بَصْرِيٌّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، قَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ زُنَيْبٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ ، أنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّ مُعَاذًا قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ كَانَ عَلَيْنَا أُمَرَاءُ لَا يَسْتَنُّونَ بِسُنَّتِكَ ، وَلَا يَأْخُذُونَ بِأَمْرِكَ ، فَمَا تَأْمُرُ فِي أَمْرِهِمْ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا طَاعَةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يُطِعْ اللَّهَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Hazrat Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted in the court of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him): O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Please tell me, if our rulers become such people who do not act upon your Sunnah and do not act upon your command, then what do you say about them? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever does not obey Allah should not be obeyed.
Hadith 13226
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُوسَى بْنَ أَنَسٍ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ اشْتَدَّتْ عَلَيْهِمْ السَّوَانِي ، فَأَتَوْا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيَدْعُوَ لَهُمْ أَوْ يَحْفِرَ لَهُمْ نَهْرًا ، فَأُخْبِرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِذَلِكَ ، فَقَالَ : " لَا يَسْأَلُونِي الْيَوْمَ شَيْئًا إِلَّا أُعْطُوهُ " فَأُخْبِرَتْ الْأَنْصَارُ بِذَلِكَ ، فَلَمَّا سَمِعُوا مَا قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالُوا : ادْعُ اللَّهَ لَنَا بِالْمَغْفِرَةِ ، فَقَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْأَنْصَارِ ، وَلِأَبْنَاءِ الْأَنْصَارِ وَلِأَبْنَاءِ أَبْنَاءِ الْأَنْصَارِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the matter of water among the Ansar became very complicated. They gathered together and came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with the request that they be allowed to take water from a running canal; they would pay its rent, or he should pray for them. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Welcome to the Ansar! By Allah! Today, whatever you ask of me, I will give you." Hearing this, they said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! Please pray to Allah for our forgiveness." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "O Allah! Forgive the Ansar, the children of the Ansar, and the children of the children of the Ansar."
Hadith 13227
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَلَّهُ أَشَدُّ فَرَحًا بِتَوْبَةِ عَبْدِهِ مِنْ أَحَدِكُمْ أَنْ يَسْقُطَ عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ ، وَقَدْ أَضَلَّهُ بِأَرْضٍ فَلَاةٍ " ، وَحَدَّثَ بِذَلِكَ شَهْرٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty is more pleased with His servant's repentance than a person whose camel is lost in a wilderness and then is found after some time. This hadith has also been narrated by Shahr bin Hawshab from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him).
Hadith 13228
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ثَابِتًا الْبُنَانِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يَعْرِضُ لَهُ الرَّجُلُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ بَعْدَمَا يَنْزِلُ مِنَ الْمِنْبَرِ ، فَيُكَلِّمُهُ ثُمَّ يَدْخُلُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that sometimes the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would be descending from the pulpit on Friday, and if a person wanted to speak to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding some matter of his, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would talk to him. Then he would proceed to the prayer mat and lead the people in prayer.
Hadith 13229
(حديث موقوف) حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ حُمَيْدَ بْنَ هِلَالٍ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى غُبَارِ مَوْكِبِ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام سَاطِعًا فِي سِكَّةِ بَنِي غَنْمٍ ، حِينَ سَارَ إِلَى بَنِي قُرَيْظَةَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the dust raised by the hoofs of Hazrat Jibreel’s (peace be upon him) mount is still before my eyes, which was produced by his spurring as he went through the streets of Banu Ghaneem towards Banu Quraizah.
Hadith 13230
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَنْبَرٍ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : لَأُحَدِّثَنَّكُمْ بِحَدِيثٍ لَا يُحَدِّثُكُمُوهُ سمعه من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أَحَدٌ بَعْدِي ، سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ مِنْ أَشْرَاطِ السَّاعَةِ : أَنْ يُرْفَعَ الْعِلْمُ ، وَيَظْهَرَ الْجَهْلُ ، وَيُشْرَبَ الْخَمْرُ ، وَيَظْهَرَ الزِّنَا ، وَتَقِلَّ الرِّجَالُ ، وَتَكْثُرَ النِّسَاءُ ، حَتَّى يَكُونَ فِي الْخَمْسِينَ امْرَأَةً الْقَيِّمُ الْوَاحِدُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that I will tell you a hadith which I heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and after me, no one will narrate it to you. I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say that among the signs of the Day of Judgment is that knowledge will be taken away, ignorance will prevail, adultery will become widespread, and drinking of wine will become common. The number of men will decrease and the number of women will increase, to the extent that one man will be responsible for fifty women.
Hadith 13231
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَنْ يَشْرَبَ الرَّجُلُ قَائِمًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade anyone from drinking water while standing.
Hadith 13232
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " اعْتَدِلُوا فِي السُّجُودِ ، وَلَا يَسْجُدْ أَحَدُكُمْ بَاسِطًا ذِرَاعَيْهِ كَالْكَلْبِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Maintain moderation in prostrations, and none of you should spread his hands like a dog.
Hadith 13233
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، وَعَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ ، وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ ، وَالْهَرَمِ وَمِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ ، وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ " ، قَالَ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ " وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate: O Allah! I seek refuge in You from laziness, old age, cowardice, miserliness, the trial of Dajjal, and the punishment of the grave.
Hadith 13234
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ضَحَّى بِكَبْشَيْنِ أَقْرَنَيْنِ أَمْلَحَيْنِ ، ذَبَحَهُمَا بِيَدِهِ وَسَمَّى وَكَبَّرَ ، وَوَضَعَ رِجْلَهُ عَلَى صِفَاحِهِمَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer two white, horned rams as sacrifice, and he would mention the name of Allah and say Takbeer. I saw that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would slaughter them with his own hand and would place his foot on their side.
Hadith 13235
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ بَيْضَاءُ حَيَّةٌ ، ثُمَّ يَذْهَبُ الذَّاهِبُ إِلَى العَوَالِي فَيَأْتِيهَا وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform the Asr prayer at such a time that if someone wanted to go to Awali after the prayer, he would go and return, and still the sun would be high.
Hadith 13236
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى نَاسٍ وَهُمْ يُصَلُّونَ قُعُودًا مِنْ مَرَضٍ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ صَلَاةَ الْقَاعِدِ عَلَى النِّصْفِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْقَائِمِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the mosque and saw that people were performing prayer sitting due to illness. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The reward for performing prayer while sitting is half of that for performing it while standing.
Hadith 13237
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَقَدْ تَرَكْتُمْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ رِجَالًا ، مَا سِرْتُمْ مِنْ مَسِيرٍ ، وَلَا أَنْفَقْتُمْ مِنْ نَفَقَةٍ ، وَلَا قَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ وَادٍ ، إِلَّا وَهُمْ مَعَكُمْ فِيهِ " قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَكَيْفَ يَكُونُونَ مَعَنَا وَهُمْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ ؟ قَالَ " حَبَسَهُمْ الْعُذْرُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (when he returned from the Battle of Tabuk and approached near Madinah) said: There are some people in Madinah such that whichever path you traveled and whichever valley you crossed, they were with you in that. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Were they with us even though they were in Madinah? He said: Yes! Even though they were in Madinah, because some excuse had kept them back.
Hadith 13238
(حديث موقوف) حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، أَنَّ أَنَسًا سُئِلَ ، عَنْ شَعَرِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " مَا رَأَيْتُ شَعَرًا أَشَبَهَ بِشَعْرِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ شعر قَتَادَةَ " ، فَفَرِحَ يَوْمَئِذٍ قَتَادَةُ .
Humaid (may Allah have mercy on him) says that a person asked Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) about the hair of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so he replied: I have not seen anyone's hair more resembling the hair of Qatadah than the hair of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). On that day, Qatadah (may Allah have mercy on him) was very pleased to hear this.
Hadith 13239
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا خَارِجَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، مِنْ وَلَدِ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : انْصَرَفْنَا مِنَ الظُّهْرِ مَعَ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، فَدَخَلْنَا عَلَى أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، فَقَالَ : يَا جَارِيَةُ ، انْظُرِي هَلْ حَانَتْ ؟ قَالَ : قَالَتْ : نَعَمْ ، قال : فَقُلْنَا لَهُ : إِنَّمَا انْصَرَفْنَا مِنَ الظُّهْرِ الْآنَ مَعَ الْإِمَامِ ! قَالَ : فَقَامَ فَصَلَّى الْعَصْرَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : هَكَذَا كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
Abdullah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that we, after finishing the Zuhr prayer with Kharijah bin Zaid (may Allah have mercy on him), reached Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him). He said to his maid, "See! Has the time for prayer come?" She said, "Yes!" We said to him, "We have just come after offering the Zuhr prayer with the Imam (and you are offering the Asr prayer)?" But he stood up and offered the Asr prayer. After that, he said, "We used to offer the prayer in this manner with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)."
Hadith 13240
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ يَهُودِيًّا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مَعَ أَصْحَابِهِ ، فَقَالَ : السَّامُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَرَدَّ عَلَيْهِ الْقَوْمُ ، فَقَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَتَدْرُونَ مَا قَالَ ؟ " قَالُوا : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : السَّامُ عَلَيْكُمْ ، قَالَ : " رُدُّوا عَلَيَّ الرَّجُلَ " فَرَدُّوهُ ، فَقَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قُلْتَ كَذَا وَكَذَا ؟ " قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، فَقَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا سَلَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ فَقُولُوا : عَلَيْكَ " أَيْ عَلَيْكَ مَا قُلْتَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Jew greeted the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) by saying "As-Saam Alaik" (death be upon you). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the companions (may Allah be pleased with them), "Call him to me and ask him, did you say 'As-Saam Alaik'?" When he admitted it, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said (to his companions), "When any of the People of the Book greet you, just say 'Wa Alaik' (and upon you)."
Hadith 13241
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ السَّهْمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي طَرِيقٍ مَعَهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ ، فَلَقِيَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ ، فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ لِي إِلَيْكَ حَاجَةً ، فَقَالَ : " يَا أُمَّ فُلَانٍ ، اجْلِسِي فِي أَيِّ نَوَاحِي السِّكَكِ شِئْتِ ، أَجْلِسْ إِلَيْكِ " فَفَعَلَتْ ، فَجَلَسَ إِلَيْهَا حَتَّى قَضَتْ حَاجَتَهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that on one of the streets of Madinah Munawwarah, a woman met the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I have a task with you." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Sit in whichever alley you wish, I will sit with you." So she sat at a place and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also sat with her and fulfilled her need.
Hadith 13242
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا حَلَقَ ، بَدَأَ بِشِقِّ رَأْسِهِ الْأَيْمَنِ فَحَلَقَهُ ، ثُمَّ نَاوَلَهُ أَبَا طَلْحَةَ ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ حَلَقَ شِقَّ رَأْسِهِ الْأَيْسَرَ ، فَقَسَمَهُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had his head shaved, he presented the right side of his head first to the barber, who cut the hair from that side. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave those hairs to Hazrat Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him). Then he had the hair on the left side shaved and gave those hairs to the general people.
Hadith 13243
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِ ، فَلَا يَتْفُلْ أَمَامَهُ وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ ، فَإِنَّهُ يُنَاجِي رَبَّهُ ، وَلْيَتْفُلْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you is praying, he is conversing with his Lord, so in this state none of you should spit to his right side, but rather spit to his left side or under his foot.
Hadith 13244
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِإِنَاءٍ فِيهِ مَاءٌ قَدْرَ مَا يَغْمُرُ أَصَابِعَهُ أَوْ لَا يَغْمُرُ أَصَابِعَهُ ، شَكَّ سَعِيدٌ فَجَعَلُوا يَتَوَضئَُونَ ، وَالْمَاءُ يَنْبُعُ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَصَابِعِهِ ، قَالَ : قُلْنَا لِأَنَسٍ كَمْ كُنْتُمْ ؟ قَالَ : ثَلَاثَ مِائَةٍ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was at the place of Zawra. A bowl of water was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in which even his finger could hardly fit. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) joined his fingers together and so much water flowed from them that everyone performed ablution. Someone asked Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), "How many people were you at that time?" He replied, "We were three hundred."
Hadith 13245
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " تَسَحَّرُوا ، فَإِنَّ فِي السَّحُورِ بَرَكَةً " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Partake in suhoor (pre-dawn meal), for there is blessing in suhoor."
Hadith 13246
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ وَعَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا أُنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًا مُبِينًا لِيَغْفِرَ لَكَ اللَّهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ سورة الفتح آية 1 - 2 مَرْجِعَهُ مِنْ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَهُمْ مُخَالِطُهُمْ الْحُزْنُ وَالْكَآبَةُ ، وَقَدْ نَحَرَ الْهَدْيَ بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ ، فَقَالَ : " لَقَدْ أُنْزِلَتْ آيَةٌ ، هِيَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا جَمِيعًا " ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا يُفْعَلُ بِكَ ، فَمَا يُفْعَلُ بِنَا ؟ فَأُنْزِلَتْ لِيُدْخِلَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَيُكَفِّرَ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا سورة الفتح آية 5 ، قَالَ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ فِي حَدِيثِهِ وَأَصْحَابُهُ مُخَالِطُو الْحُزْنِ وَالْكَآبَةِ ، وَقَالَ فِيهِ فَقَالَ قَائِلٌ : هَنِيئًا مَرِيئًا لَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَدْ بَيَّنَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مَاذَا يَفْعَلُ بِكَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was returning from Hudaybiyyah, signs of grief and distress were visible on the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) because they had been prevented from performing Umrah and had to sacrifice their animals at Hudaybiyyah itself. At that moment, this verse was revealed to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Indeed, We have given you a clear conquest... a straight path." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Two verses have been revealed to me which are more beloved to me than the whole world." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited them. Upon hearing this, a Muslim said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Congratulations to you, for Allah has granted you this bounty. What is there for us?" Upon this, the following verse was revealed: "That He may admit the believing men and believing women to gardens... a great success."
Hadith 13247
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَتِمُّوا الصَّفَّ الْأَوَّلَ ، وَالَّذِي يَلِيهِ ، فَإِنْ كَانَ نَقْصٌ ، فَلْيَكُنْ فِي الصَّفِّ الْآخِرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: First complete the front row, then the next one after it, and if there is any deficiency, it should be in the last row.
Hadith 13248
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُمْ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرْخَصَ لِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَالزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ فِي قُمُصٍ مِنْ حَرِيرٍ فِي سَفَرٍ ، مِنْ حِكَّةٍ كَانَتْ بِهِمَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) granted permission to Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Zubair bin Al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him) to wear silk garments because of lice.
Hadith 13249
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ أَخِي يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَرَأَهَا : وَكَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِيهَا أَنَّ النَّفْسَ بِالنَّفْسِ وَالْعَيْنَ بِالْعَيْنِ سورة المائدة آية 45 نَصَبَ النَّفْسَ ، وَرَفَعَ الْعَيْنَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited the Qur'anic verse "And We ordained for them therein: a life for a life, and an eye for an eye" with the word "life" in the accusative case and the word "eye" in the nominative case.
Hadith 13250
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : انْطَلَقَ حَارِثَةُ بْنُ عَمَّتي نَظَّارًا ، مَا انْطَلَقَ لِلْقِتَالِ ، فَأَصَابَهُ سَهْمٌ ، فَقَتَلَهُ ، فَجَاءَتْ أُمُّهُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، ابْنِي حَارِثَةُ ، إِنْ يَكُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَصْبِرْ وَأَحْتَسِبْ ؟ ! فَقَالَ : " يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ ، إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ ، وَإِنَّ حَارِثَةَ فِي الْفِرْدَوْسِ الْأَعْلَى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Hazrat Haritha (may Allah be pleased with him) went out for a walk, and on the way, a sudden arrow struck him from somewhere and he was martyred. His mother presented herself in the court of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! You know how much I loved Haritha. If he is in Paradise, I will be patient, otherwise, you will see what I do." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O Umm Haritha! Paradise is not just one; there are many Paradises, and Haritha is in the most excellent of them."
Hadith 13251
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ شُرَحْبِيلَ ، عَنْ أَعْيَنَ الْبَصْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ تَرَكَ مَالًا فَلِأَهْلِهِ ، وَمَنْ تَرَكَ دَيْنًا ، فَعَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَعَلَى رَسُولِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever leaves wealth for his heirs, it belongs to his family, and whoever leaves a debt, its payment is the responsibility of Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 13252
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " رَخَّصَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ وَلِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ فِي لُبْسِ الْحَرِيرِ فِي السَّفَرِ ، مِنْ حِكَّةٍ كَانَتْ بِهِمَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) granted permission to Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Zubair bin Al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him) to wear silk garments because of lice.
Hadith 13253
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ، يَقُولُ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَحْتَجِمُ ، وَلَا يَظْلِمُ أَحَدًا أَجْرَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had cupping done, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would not wrong anyone regarding wages in this matter.
Hadith 13254
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : سَدَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَاصِيَتَهُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَسْدُلَهَا ، ثُمَّ فَرَّقَ بَعْدُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for a period of time, "as long as Allah willed," kept his hair without parting it with a comb, then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to part his hair.
Hadith 13255
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ ابْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَعَا عَلَى الَّذِينَ قَتَلُوا أَهْلَ بِئْرِ مَعُونَةَ ثَلَاثِينَ صَبَاحًا عَلَى رِعْلٍ ، وَذَكْوَانَ ، وَلِحْيَانَ ، وَبَنِي عُصَيَّةَ ، عَصَتْ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَنَزَلَ فِي ذَلِكَ قُرْآنٌ ، فَقَرَأْنَاهُ : 0 بَلِّغُوا عَنَّا قَوْمَنَا أنَّا قَدْ لَقِينَا رَبَّنَا فَرضِيَ عَنَّا وَأَرْضَانا .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated against the tribes of Ri'l, Dhakwan, Banu Lihyan, and 'Usayyah—"who had disobeyed Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)"—for thirty days. These people had martyred the companions at Bi'r Ma'unah, and regarding this, a verse of the Noble Qur'an was also revealed which we used to recite (then its recitation was abrogated): "Convey from us to our people that we have met our Lord, and He is pleased with us and we are pleased with Him."
Hadith 13256
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، حدثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : إِنْ كَانَتْ الْخَادِمُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَهِيَ أَمَةٌ تَأْخُذُ بِيَدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَمَا يَنْزِعُ يَدَهُ مِنْهَا حَتَّى تَذْهَبَ بِهِ حَيْثُ شَاءَتْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that even an ordinary slave girl of Madinah would take hold of the blessed hand of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and take him away for her tasks, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would not withdraw his hand from her.
Hadith 13257
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي الدُّعَاءِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبِطَيْهِ ، قال : فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِعَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ أَنَسٍ ؟ قَالَ : سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ ! .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would raise his hands so high that the whiteness of his armpits would become visible.
