Hadith 12819
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ سَنْبَرٌ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ نَاسًا أَتَوْا الْمَدِينَةَ ، فَاجْتَوَوْا الْمَدِينَةَ ، فَأَمَرَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِإِبِلٍ وَرَاعِيهَا ، وَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَشْرَبُوا مِنْ أَبْوَالِهَا وَأَلْبَانِهَا ، قَالَ : فَقَتَلُوا الرَّاعِيَ ، وَأَطْرَدُوا الْإِبِلَ ، فَبَعَثَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي طَلَبِهِمْ فَجِيءَ بِهِمْ ، فَقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ ، وَسَمَلَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ ، وَطَرَحَهُمْ فِي الشَّمْسِ حَتَّى مَاتُوا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that some people became Muslim, but the climate of Madinah did not suit them. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to them, "If you go to our camels and drink their milk, perhaps you will recover." So they did so, but when they became healthy, they reverted to disbelief and turned back to kufr. They killed the Muslim shepherd of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and drove away the camels of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent companions after them, they were captured and brought before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered their hands and feet to be cut off from opposite sides, their eyes to be branded with hot irons, and they were left in rocky areas until they died.
Hadith 12820
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلَ النَّاسُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى أَحْفَوْهُ بِالْمَسْأَلَةِ ، فَصَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ ، فَقَالَ : " لَا تَسْأَلُونِي عَنْ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا بَيَّنْتُهُ لَكُمْ " قَالَ أَنَسٌ فَجَعَلْتُ أَنْظُرُ يَمِينًا وَشِمَالًا ، فَإِذَا كُلُّ إِنْسَانٍ لَافٍ رَأْسَهُ فِي ثَوْبِهِ يَبْكِي ، قَالَ : وَأَنْشَأَ رَجُلٌ كَانَ إِذَا لَاحَى يُدْعَى إِلَى غَيْرِ أَبِيهِ ، فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَنْ أَبِي ؟ قَالَ : " أَبُوكَ حُذَافَةُ " قَالَ أَبُو عَامِرٍ : وَأَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ : فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، فِي الْجَنَّةِ أنا أَوْ فِي النَّارِ ؟ قَالَ : " فِي النَّارِ " ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ أَنْشَأَ عُمَرُ فَقَالَ : رَضِينَا بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا ، وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا ، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيًّا ، نَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شَرِّ الْفِتَنِ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا رَأَيْتُ فِي الْخَيْرِ وَالشَّرِّ كَالْيَوْمِ قَطُّ ، إِنَّهُ صُوِّرَتْ الْجَنَّةُ وَالنَّارُ حَتَّى رَأَيْتُهُمَا دُونَ الْحَائِطِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out after the decline of the sun, led the Zuhr prayer, and after saying salam, stood on the pulpit and mentioned the Day of Judgment: and also that before it, very important matters will occur. Then he said, "Whoever wants to ask any question, let him ask. By Allah! Whatever you ask me about, as long as I am standing here, I will surely answer you." Hearing this, the people began to weep and wail in abundance, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept repeating, "Ask me." So a man stood up and asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Where will I enter?" He replied, "In Hell." Abdullah bin Hudhafah (may Allah be pleased with him) asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Who is my father?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Your father is Hudhafah." Upon this, Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) knelt down and began to say, "We are pleased and content with Allah as our Lord, Islam as our religion, and Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) as our Prophet." Hearing this from Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) became silent. After a little while, he said, "By Him in Whose hand is my soul, Paradise and Hell have just been presented before me in the width of this wall, while I was praying. I have never seen a day of good and evil like today."
Hadith 12821
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَتِمُّوا الرُّكُوعَ وَالسُّجُودَ ، فَوَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأَرَاكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ ظَهْرِي إِذَا مَا رَكَعْتُمْ ، وَإِذَا مَا سَجَدْتُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perform bowing and prostration completely, for by Allah, I see you even from behind my back."
Hadith 12822
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ ، وَعَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، وَعَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا طِيَرَةَ ، وَيُعْجِبُنِي الْفَأْلُ " قَالَ : قِيلَ : يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ، مَا الْفَأْلُ ؟ قَالَ : " الْكَلِمَةُ الْحَسَنَةُ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عَامِرٍ أَوْ قَالَ : " الْكَلِمَةُ الطَّيِّبَةُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no reality in bad omens, but I like optimism. Someone asked, O Messenger of Allah! What is meant by optimism? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A good word.
Hadith 12823
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ أَوْ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَتَى السَّاعَةُ ؟ قَالَ : " وَمَا أَعْدَدْتَ لَهَا ؟ " قَالَ : مَا أَعْدَدْتُ لَهَا ، إِلَّا أَنِّي أُحِبُّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ، فَقَالَ : " أَنْتَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ " ، قَالَ أَنَسٌ : فَمَا رَأَيْتُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَرِحُوا بِشَيْءٍ بَعْدَ الْإِسْلَامِ أَشَدَّ مَا فَرِحُوا يَوْمَئِذٍ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a Bedouin came and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! When will the Hour be established?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "What preparation have you made for the Hour?" He said, "Love for Allah and His Messenger." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You will be with those whom you love." Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that after becoming Muslim, I never saw the people as happy as I saw them on that day.
Hadith 12824
(حديث قدسي) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَرْبُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ أَبُو الْخَطَّابِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " إِنِّي لَقَائِمٌ أَنْتَظِرُ أُمَّتِي تَعْبُرُ عَلَى الصِّرَاطِ ، إِذْ جَاءَنِي عِيسَى ، فَقَالَ : هَذِهِ الْأَنْبِيَاءُ قَدْ جَاءَتْكَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ يَسْأَلُونَ أَوْ قَالَ : يَجْتَمِعُونَ إِلَيْكَ ، وَيَدْعُونَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَنْ يُفَرِّقَ جَمْعَ الْأُمَمِ إِلَى حَيْثُ يَشَاءُ اللَّهُ لِغَمِّ مَا هُمْ فِيهِ ، فالْخَلْقُ مُلْجَمُونَ فِي الْعَرَقِ ، فأَمَّا الْمُؤْمِنُ فَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ كَالزَّكْمَةِ ، وَأَمَّا الْكَافِرُ فَيَتَغَشَّاهُ الْمَوْتُ " قَالَ : قَالَ عِيسَى ، انْتَظِرْ حَتَّى أَرْجِعَ إِلَيْكَ " قَالَ : " فَذَهَبَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى قَامَ تَحْتَ الْعَرْشِ ، فَلَقِيَ مَا لَمْ يَلْقَ مَلَكٌ مُصْطَفًى ، وَلَا نَبِيٌّ مُرْسَلٌ ، فَأَوْحَى اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِلَى جِبْرِيلَ : اذْهَبْ إِلَى مُحَمَّدٍ ، فَقُلْ لَهُ ارْفَعْ رَأْسَكَ ، سَلْ تُعْطَ ، وَاشْفَعْ تُشَفَّعْ " قَالَ : " فَشُفِّعْتُ فِي أُمَّتِي أَنْ أُخْرِجَ مِنْ كُلِّ تِسْعَةٍ وَتِسْعِينَ إِنْسَانًا ، وَاحِدًا " قَالَ : " فَمَا زِلْتُ أَتَرَدَّدُ عَلَى رَبِّي ، فَلَا أَقُومُ مَقَامًا إِلَّا شُفِّعْتُ ، حَتَّى أَعْطَانِي اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْ ذَلِكَ أَنْ قَالَ : يَا مُحَمَّدُ ، أَدْخِلْ مِنْ أُمَّتِكَ مِنْ خَلْقِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مَنْ شَهِدَ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ يَوْمًا وَاحِدًا مُخْلِصًا ، وَمَاتَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told me that on the Day of Resurrection I will be standing, waiting for my Ummah so that they may cross the Bridge of Sirat, when in the meantime Hazrat Isa (peace be upon him) will come to me and say, "O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! All the Prophets (peace be upon them) have gathered together and come to you so that you may supplicate to Allah to disperse this crowd of nations wherever He wills and send them to their abodes, because the people are in great distress." At that time, everyone will have the reins of sweat in their mouths. For the Muslim, it will be like a cold, and for the disbeliever, it will be like the agony of death. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) will say to them, "You wait for me here, I will come to you soon." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) will go and stand under the Throne, and he will be granted a rank which will not be given to any chosen angel or sent Prophet. Then Allah Almighty will send this message to Hazrat Jibreel (peace be upon him) that go to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and say to him, "Raise your head, ask and you will be given, intercede and your intercession will be accepted." Thus, my intercession regarding my Ummah will be accepted that out of every ninety-nine, one person will be taken out of Hell. But I will continue to insist with my Lord and will not leave from there until my intercession is accepted, until Allah Almighty grants me the acceptance of this intercession and says, "O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! Take out from Hell every person among your Ummah who testified with sincerity to 'La ilaha illallah' even for one day and died upon it."
Hadith 12825
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَرْبُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَشْفَعَ لِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ : " أَنَا فَاعِلٌ " , قَالَ : فَأَيْنَ أَطْلُبُكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " اطْلُبْنِي أَوَّلَ مَا تَطْلُبُنِي عَلَى الصِّرَاطِ " قَالَ : قُلْتُ : فَإِذَا لَمْ أَلْقَكَ عَلَى الصِّرَاطِ ؟ قَالَ : " فَأَنَا عِنْدَ الْمِيزَانِ " ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : فَإِنْ لَمْ أَلْقَكَ عِنْدَ الْمِيزَانِ ؟ قَالَ : " فَأَنَا عِنْدَ الْحَوْضِ ، لَا أُخْطِئُ هَذِهِ الثَّلَاثَ مَوَاطِنَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I requested the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to intercede for me on the Day of Judgment. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I will do so." I asked, "Where should I look for you on the Day of Judgment?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "First, look for me at the Bridge of Sirat." I said, "If I do not find you there?" He said, "Then I will be at the Scale of deeds." I said, "If I do not find you there either?" He said, "Then I will be at the Pond of Kawthar, and on the Day of Judgment, I will not go beyond these three places."
Hadith 12826
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ مُخْتَارِ بْنِ فُلْفُلٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا قَالَ : قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : يَا خَيْرَ الْبَرِيَّةِ ، قَالَ : " ذَاكَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man addressed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying, "O best of creation." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "That was indeed Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him)."
Hadith 12827
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ يَعْنِي الْمِسْمَعِيَّ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ ، وَلِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ يَوْمَانِ يَلْعَبُونَ فِيهِمَا ، فَقَالَ : " قَدِمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَكُمْ يَوْمَانِ تَلْعَبُونَ فِيهِمَا ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَبْدَلَكُمْ يَوْمَيْنِ خَيْرًا مِنْهُمَا يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ ، وَيَوْمَ النَّحْرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Madinah, he found that there were two days in which the people used to celebrate festivals since the days of ignorance. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah has given you better days than these in exchange—Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.
Hadith 12828
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ هَلْ خَضَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : لَا ، " لَمْ يَشِنْهُ الشَّيْبُ " ، قَالَ : فَقِيلَ : يَا أَبَا حَمْزَةَ ، وَشَيْنٌ هُوَ ؟ قَالَ : يُقَالُ : كُلُّكُمْ يَكْرَهُهُ ، وَخَضَبَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ بِالْحِنَّاءِ وَالْكَتَمِ ، وَخَضَبَ عُمَرُ بِالْحِنَّاءِ " .
Humaid says that a person asked Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) whether the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to apply dye. He replied that there were only seventeen or twenty white hairs in the front part of the blessed beard of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and old age did not bring any defect upon him. Someone asked, "Is old age a defect?" He replied, "Each one of you considers it undesirable." However, Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) used to apply a dye of henna and katam, while Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used only henna as dye.
Hadith 12829
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا اطَّلَعَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ خَلَلٍ ، " فَسَدَّدَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِشْقَصٍ ، فَأَخْرَجَ الرَّجُلُ رَأْسَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting in his house when a man came and began to look inside through a hole. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) straightened the comb he was holding in his hand, so the man withdrew his head.
Hadith 12830
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلٌ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَكْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " يُضَحِّي بِكَبْشَيْنِ أَمْلَحَيْنِ " ، قَالَ ابْنُ بَكْرٍ : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ضَحَّى بِكَبْشَيْنِ أَمْلَحَيْنِ ، أَسْنَدَاهُ جَمِيعًا عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer two white, horned rams as sacrifice.
Hadith 12831
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلٌ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شُجَّ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ ، وَكَسَرُوا رَبَاعِيَتَهُ ، فَجَعَلَ يَمْسَحُ الدَّمَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : " كَيْفَ يُفْلِحُ قَوْمٌ خَضَّبُوا وَجْهَ نَبِيِّهِمْ بِالدَّمِ وَهُوَ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ " ، فَأُنْزِلَتْ لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَوْ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ سورة آل عمران آية 128 .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Battle of Uhud, four of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) front teeth were broken and he was also wounded on his forehead, so much so that blood began to flow on his blessed face. Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “How can a people prosper who treat their Prophet in such a manner while he is calling them towards their Lord?” Then this verse was revealed: “You have no authority in the matter, whether Allah turns to them or punishes them, for they are wrongdoers.”
Hadith 12832
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ أَنَسٌ عَنْ صَوْمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَطَوُّعًا ، قَالَ : " كَانَ يَصُومُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ لَا يُفْطِرُ ، وَيُفْطِرُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ لَا يَصُومُ " .
Humaid says that someone asked Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) about the voluntary fasts of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so he replied that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would sometimes fast continuously in a month to the extent that we would think that now the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) will not leave any fast, and sometimes he would leave fasting to the extent that we would say that perhaps now the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) will not fast at all.
Hadith 12833
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate: "O Allah! I seek refuge in You from laziness, miserliness, and the punishment of the grave."
Hadith 12834
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ ، فَرَأَيْتُ قَصْرًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ، قُلْتُ لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ ؟ قَالُوا لِشَابٍّ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ ، فَظَنَنْتُ أَنِّي أَنَا هُوَ ، قَالُوا لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Hazrat Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for an animal to ride. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was busy with some work at that time, so he said, "By Allah! I will not give you any ride." But when he (Abu Musa) turned to leave, he was called back and a ride was granted to him. He said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! You had sworn that you would not give me a ride?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Now I swear that I will surely give you a ride."
Hadith 12835
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا مُوسَى اسْتَحْمَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَوَافَقَ مِنْهُ شُغْلًا ، قَالَ : " وَاللَّهِ لَا أَحْمِلُكُمْ " فَلَمَّا قَفَّى دَعَاهُ ، فَقَالَ : حَلَفْتَ لَا تَحْمِلُنَا ، قَالَ : " وَأَنَا أَحْلِفُ لَأَحْمِلَنَّكُمْ " فَحَمَلَهُمْ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Hazrat Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for an animal to ride. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was busy with some work at that time, so he said, "By Allah! I will not give you any ride." Hadith 12836
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عفان ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا ، أَنَّ أَبَا مُوسَى قَالَ : اسْتَحْمَلْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَحَلَفَ لَا يَحْمِلُنَا ، ثُمَّ حَمَلَنَا ، قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّكَ حَلَفْتَ لَا تَحْمِلُنَا ؟ قَالَ : " وَأَنَا أَحْلِفُ لَأَحْمِلَنَّكُمْ " .

Hadith 12837
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنَّ جَنَازَةً مَرَّتْ بِالنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقِيلَ لَهَا خَيْرًا ، وَتَتَابَعَتْ الْأَلْسُنُ لَهَا بِالْخَيْرِ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَجَبَتْ " ثُمَّ مَرَّتْ جَنَازَةٌ أُخْرَى فَقَالُوا لَهَا شَرًّا ، وَتَتَابَعَتْ الْأَلْسُنُ لَهَا بِالشَّرِّ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَجَبَتْ ، أَنْتُمْ شُهَدَاءُ اللَّهِ فِي الْأَرْضِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a funeral passed in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Someone praised the deceased, then several people praised him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "It has become obligatory." Then another funeral passed and people criticized the deceased, and seeing them, many others also criticized him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "It has become obligatory. You are Allah's witnesses on earth."
Hadith 12838
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْنَا أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ نَشْكُو إِلَيْهِ الْحَجَّاجَ ، فَقَالَ : " لَا يَأْتِي عَلَيْكُمْ يَوْمٌ أَوْ زَمَانٌ إِلَّا الَّذِي بَعْدَهُ شَرٌّ مِنْهُ " ، سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ نَبِيِّكُمْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
Zubair bin Adi (may Allah have mercy on him) says that we complained to Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) about the oppression of Hajjaj bin Yusuf. He said, "Be patient, because every year or day that comes after will be worse than the one before, until you meet your Lord. I heard this from your Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."
Hadith 12839
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عِيسَى ، عَنْ ابْنِ جَبْر بْنِ عَتِيكٍِ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " يُجْزِئُ فِي الْوُضُوءِ رَطْلَانِ مِنْ مَاءٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Two ratl of water are sufficient for ablution.
Hadith 12840
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اعْتَدِلُوا فِي السُّجُودِ ، وَلَا يَبْسُطْ أَحَدُكُمْ ذِرَاعَيْهِ انْبِسَاطَ السَّبُعِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Maintain moderation in prostrations, and none of you should spread his hands like a dog.
Hadith 12841
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَقِيمُوا صُفُوفَكُمْ ، فَإِنَّ مِنْ حُسْنِ الصَّلَاةِ إِقَامَةَ الصَّفِّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Keep your rows straight, for the straightening of rows is part of the beauty of prayer."
Hadith 12842
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ أَخَفِّ النَّاسِ صَلَاةً فِي تَمَامٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the prayer of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was the lightest and most complete.
Hadith 12843
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ شَاذَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عِيسَى ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَبْرٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَضَّأُ بِإِنَاءٍ يَكُونُ رَطْلَيْنِ ، وَيَغْتَسِلُ بِالصَّاعِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform ablution with a vessel containing two ratl of water and would perform ghusl with one sa’ of water.
Hadith 12844
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعُمَرِيُّ ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " صَلَّى عَلَى حَصِيرٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed on a mat.
Hadith 12845
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : " صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَخَلْفَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ ، وَكَانُوا لَا يَجْهَرُونَ بْ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ سورة الفاتحة آية 1 " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that I have offered prayer with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and with the three Caliphs; these personalities did not recite "Bismillah" aloud.
Hadith 12846
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ " أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يَنْصَرِفُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would return from the right side after performing the prayer.
Hadith 12847
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ وَرْدَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ : " خَطَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon on the pulpit.
Hadith 12848
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ابن الْأَصَمّ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ، يَقُولُ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ لَا يَنْقُصُونَ التَّكْبِيرَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Hazrat Abu Bakr, Hazrat Umar, and Hazrat Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them) used to recite the complete Takbeer.
Hadith 12849
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّمَا قَنَتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَهْرًا يَدْعُو بَعْدَ الرُّكُوعِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited Qunoot Nazilah after bowing in the Fajr prayer for a month and kept supplicating against some Arab tribes, then he abandoned it.
Hadith 12850
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ الضُّبَعِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ ، وَهُوَ يُنَاوِلُ أَصْحَابَهُ وَهُمْ يَبْنُونَ الْمَسْجِدَ : " أَلَا إِنَّ الْعَيْشَ عَيْشُ الْآخِرَهْ فَاغْفِرْ لِلْأَنْصَارِ وَالْمُهَاجِرَهْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the construction of the Prophet's Mosque, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was handing bricks to his companions (may Allah be pleased with them) and kept saying: "The real life is the life of the Hereafter. O Allah! Forgive the Ansar and the Muhajireen."
Hadith 12851
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، وَابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : كَانَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَزَعٌ ، فَاسْتَعَارَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَسًا لِأَبِي طَلْحَةَ يُقَالُ لَهُ مَنْدُوبٌ ، فَرَكِبَهُ ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَقَالَ : " مَا رَأَيْنَا مِنْ فَزَعٍ ، وَإِنْ وَجَدْنَا لَبَحْرًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, during the night, the people of Madinah were alarmed due to fear of the enemy. The Prophet (peace be upon him) borrowed one of our horses, whose name was Mandub, and said, "There is nothing to worry about." Regarding the horse, he said, "We found it as swift as the sea."
Hadith 12852
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ مَكَّةَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ وَعَلَيْهِ مِغْفَرٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the conquest of Makkah, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered Makkah, he (peace and blessings be upon him) was wearing a helmet.
Hadith 12853
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَخِيسِ الْيَشْكُرِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ : قِيلَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَدْ اسْتُشْهِدَ مَوْلَاكَ فُلَانٌ ، قَالَ : " كَلَّا ، إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ عَلَيْهِ عَبَاءَةً غَلَّهَا يَوْمَ كَذَا وَكَذَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Has your such-and-such servant been martyred?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Never! I saw a cloak on him which he had acquired by committing treachery from the spoils of war on such-and-such day."
Hadith 12854
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبَّادٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا طَلْحَةَ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ أَيْتَامٍ فِي حِجْرِهِ وَرِثُوا خَمْرًا ، أَنْ يَجْعَلَهَا خَلًّا ؟ فَكَرِهَ ذَلِكَ " ، وَقَالَ وَكِيعٌ مَرَّةً : أَفَلَا يَجْعَلُهَا ؟ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that Hazrat Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) if, when orphaned children inherit wine, can it be turned into vinegar? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) expressed dislike for this.
Hadith 12855
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُعَزِّرُ فِي الْخَمْرِ بِالنِّعَالِ وَالْجَرِيدِ ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ ضَرَبَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَرْبَعِينَ ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ زَمَنُ عُمَرَ ، وَدَنَا النَّاسُ مِنَ الرِّيفِ وَالْقُرَى ، اسْتَشَارَ فِي ذَلِكَ النَّاسَ ، وَفَشَا ذَلِكَ فِي النَّاسِ ، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ أَرَى أَنْ تَجْعَلَهُ كَأَخَفِّ الْحُدُودِ ، فَضَرَبَ عُمَرُ ثَمَانِينَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) punished for drinking alcohol with branches and shoes. Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) gave (forty lashes), but when during the caliphate of Hazrat Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) people came close to various cities and towns (and their influences began to appear among them), Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked his companions, "What is your opinion regarding this?" Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Auf (may Allah be pleased with him) gave the opinion that the punishment should be fixed equal to the lowest prescribed limit, so Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) fixed the punishment for drinking alcohol at eighty lashes.
Hadith 12856
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " مَرَرْتُ لَيْلَةَ أُسْرِيَ بِي عَلَى قَوْمٍ تُقْرَضُ شِفَاهُهُمْ بِمَقَارِيضَ مِنْ نَارٍ ، قُلْتُ : مَا هَؤُلَاءِ ؟ قَالَ : هَؤُلَاءِ خُطَبَاءُ أُمَّتِكَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الدُّنْيَا ، كَانُوا يَأْمُرُونَ النَّاسَ بِالْبِرِّ وَيَنْسَوْنَ أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَتْلُونَ الْكِتَابَ ، أَفَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ ؟ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the night of Mi'raj, I passed by some people whose mouths were being cut with scissors of fire. I asked, "Who are these people?" It was said, "These are the preachers of the world who used to enjoin good upon others but forgot themselves, and they used to recite the Book. Did they not understand?"
Hadith 12857
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " ابْنُ أُخْتِ الْقَوْمِ مِنْهُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The nephew of a people is counted among them.
Hadith 12858
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، وابنُ جَعْفَرُ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِلَحْمٍ تُصُدِّقَ بِهِ عَلَى بَرِيرَةَ ، فَقَالَ : " هُوَ لَهَا صَدَقَةٌ ، وَهُوَ لَنَا هَدِيَّةٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once something of charity came to Bareerah (the slave girl of Hazrat Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is charity for her and a gift for us."
