It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) took suhoor together. After finishing suhoor, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up for prayer and led the prayer. We began to ask Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) how much time there was between finishing suhoor and standing for prayer. He replied: As long as it takes for a man to recite fifty verses.
