It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: On the Day of Resurrection, my grave will be the first to be opened, and I do not boast about this. I will be given the Banner of Praise, and I do not boast about this. I will be the leader of all people on the Day of Resurrection, and I do not boast about this. I will reach the gate of Paradise and hold its ring; it will be asked from inside, "Who is it?" I will say, "Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)." Then the door will be opened, and I will enter Paradise. Suddenly, I will come before my Lord, and as soon as I see Him, I will fall into prostration. Allah Almighty will say, "O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), raise your head, speak, you will be heard; ask, it will be granted; intercede, your intercession will be accepted." Then I will raise my head and say, "O my Lord! My Ummah, my Ummah." Allah Almighty will say, "Go to your Ummah, and whoever has faith in his heart equal to a grain of barley, admit him into Paradise." So I will do so, and whoever I find with that much faith in his heart, I will admit him into Paradise. The second time, with the same details, I will be commanded to admit into Paradise those who have faith equal to half a grain of barley, and I will do so. The third time, with the same details, I will be commanded to admit into Paradise those who have faith equal to a grain of mustard seed, and I will do so. Then Allah will finish the reckoning of the people, and the remainder of my Ummah will be entered into Hell with the people of Hell. The people of Hell will say to them, "You used to worship Allah and did not associate anyone with Him; what benefit did that bring you?" Upon this, Allah Almighty will say, "By My honor! I will surely free these people from Hell." So Allah will take them out of Hell; by then, they will have been burnt and turned into charcoal. Then they will be dipped into the River of Life, and they will sprout forth as seeds sprout on the banks of a flood. And it will be written between their eyes that these are the freed ones of Allah. When these people enter Paradise, the people of Paradise will say, "These are the people of Hell." But Allah will say, "No, rather these are the freed ones of the Lord."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that more than twenty chiefs of the Quraysh be dragged and thrown into a well at Badr along with all their filth, and so it was done. It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that after gaining victory over any people, he would stay there for three nights. After gaining victory over the people of Badr, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also stayed there for three nights. On the third day, he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that the mounts be prepared. When the mounts were ready, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out in one direction, and the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) followed him. We thought that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was going to relieve himself, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stopped at the edge of that well and began to call out to them by their names and the names of their fathers, and said: "Do you now find it pleasing that you had obeyed Allah and His Messenger? Did you find true what your Lord had promised you?" Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Are you speaking to bodies in which there are no souls?"
