He says that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "This situation happened with the mother of Ismail; she loved people, so the caravan people camped there and called their other family members as well, and they started living with them . . . . ." Then the narrator also said that when the mother of Ismail (peace be upon him) descended from Safa and reached the low-lying area, she lifted the hem of her shirt and began to run quickly like a person in distress, and after crossing that low area, she reached Marwah and stood there looking to see if any human could be seen or not. But she did not see anyone. She circled in this way seven times, and this is the beginning of Sa'i.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding the Quranic verse: «﴿وَإِذْ يَمْكُرُ بِكَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا﴾ [الأنفال : 30]» "And [remember] when those who disbelieved plotted against you to restrain you or kill you or evict you..." that once, at night, the Quraysh consulted together in Makkah. Some said: "In the morning, shackle Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) in chains." Some said: "Kill him." And some advised to expel him. Allah Almighty informed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) of the polytheists' plotting. So that night, Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) slept on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) bed, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) left there and went to prayer. The polytheists kept watch all night, thinking Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and at dawn they attacked, but found Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) there. Thus Allah returned their plot upon themselves. They said: "Where is your companion?" Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: "I do not know." Then they set out searching for the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) footprints. When they reached the mountain, they became confused. They climbed the mountain and also passed by the cave (where the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, had taken refuge), but at the mouth of the cave they saw a spider's web. Seeing this, they said: "If he were here, there would not be a spider's web at the mouth of the cave." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed in that cave for three days.

Her nephew leaned in and asked Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), and she said, "Let it be (I do not have the strength)." He said, "Mother! Ibn Abbas is your very righteous son; he wants to greet you and bid you farewell." She gave permission. He came in and said, "Glad tidings to you! Only so much time remains between you and meeting your companions as it takes for the soul to depart from the body. Among all the pure wives of the Prophet (peace be upon him), you were the most beloved, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) loved only that which was pure. On the night of Al-Abwa, your necklace broke and fell. The Prophet (peace be upon him) camped there, but in the morning, the Muslims had no water. Allah, through your blessing, revealed the command of tayammum with pure earth, in which Allah granted concession to this Ummah. And verses of the Noble Qur'an were revealed about you, which Jibreel Amin (peace be upon him) brought from above the seven heavens. Now, there is no mosque of the Muslims where your excuse is not recited day and night." Hearing this, she said, "O Ibn Abbas! Leave these praises of mine. By Allah! My wish is that I had become a forgotten tale."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray two rak'ahs during travel and four rak'ahs during residence. Therefore, whoever prays four rak'ahs during travel is like someone who prays two rak'ahs during residence. He also said that the shortening of the prayer happened only once, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led two rak'ahs, which the Mujahideen performed as one rak'ah each, following the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 3269
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The example of the one who takes back his gift after giving it is like that of a dog who vomits and then licks it up again."
Hadith 3270
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his companions (may Allah be pleased with them) prayed facing Bayt al-Maqdis for sixteen months, then the direction of the qiblah was changed.
