Adam (peace be upon him) saw among them a man whose complexion was radiant. He asked: 'O Lord! Who is this?' Allah said: 'This is your son Dawud (David).' He asked: 'O Lord! How long is his lifespan?' Allah said: 'Sixty years.' He said: 'O Lord! Increase his lifespan.' Allah said: 'That is not possible, but it is possible that I reduce some years from your lifespan and add them to his.' The lifespan of Adam (peace be upon him) was one thousand years. Allah took forty years from it and added forty years to the lifespan of Dawud (peace be upon him), and wrote this matter down and made the angels witnesses to it. When the time of Adam's (peace be upon him) death approached and the angels came to seize his soul, Adam (peace be upon him) said: 'But forty years of my life still remain?' It was said to him: 'You have already given those forty years to your son Dawud.' But he said: 'I did not do so.' Thereupon Allah presented that written document before him and the angels bore witness to it."

Abu Al-Tufail says that whenever Sayyiduna Amir Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by any corner of the Ka'bah, he would perform istilam (touching or kissing). Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform istilam only of the Black Stone and the Yemeni Corner. Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) replied that no part of the House of Allah is abandoned or neglected.

Abu al-Tufail says that I was once with Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) and Sayyiduna Amir Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him). Hadith 3534
عربی حدیث ابھی نہیں ملی
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed Umrah from Ji‘irrana, and in the first three circuits of the Tawaf of the Ka‘bah he performed ramal, and in the remaining four circuits he walked as usual.

Abu Tufail says that I once asked Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), "Your people think that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ramal during tawaf and that it is a Sunnah?" He replied, "These people say some things that are true and some that are false." I asked, "What is true and what is false?" He said, "The truth is that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did perform ramal while circumambulating the House of Allah, but to consider it a Sunnah is incorrect. The reason is that during the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, the Quraysh had said, 'Leave Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and his companions (may Allah be pleased with them), so that they may perish just as a camel dies when a worm comes out of its nose.' When they made peace with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on this condition among other conditions, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) could come to Makkah the following year with his companions (may Allah be pleased with them) and stay for three days, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came the following year. The polytheists were sitting towards Mount Qaiqan. Seeing them, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered his companions (may Allah be pleased with them) to perform ramal in three circuits. This is not a Sunnah."
Hadith 3535
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived at Makkah with his noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) on the occasion of ‘Umrat al-Qada’, the polytheists began to mock, saying: “A people are coming to you whom the fever of Yathrib has made weak.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered his companions (may Allah be pleased with them) to perform ramal (brisk walking) in the first three circuits. The polytheists began to say among themselves: “The fever of Yathrib has not made them weak.”
Hadith 3537
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Black Stone came from Paradise; it was whiter than snow, but the sins of the polytheists made it black."
Hadith 3538
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once drank milk and then rinsed his mouth and said, "It has greasiness in it."
Hadith 3539
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was the most generous of all people, and he was even more generous in the month of Ramadan when he would meet with Jibreel (peace be upon him). Every night of Ramadan, Jibreel (peace be upon him) would review the Noble Qur'an with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). On the morning after the night when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would recite the Qur'an to Jibreel (peace be upon him), he would become more generous than the fast-blowing wind.
Hadith 3540
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I was helped by the east wind (the wind that comes from the direction of the door of the Ka'bah), and the people of 'Ad were destroyed by the west wind."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once he spent the night at the house of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up during the night, used the miswak, performed ablution, and recited the last ten verses of Surah Al-Imran. Then he prayed two rak‘ahs in which he stood, bowed, and prostrated for a long time. After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) lay down and slept until the sound of his snoring could be heard. Then he woke up and repeated the same actions, and this happened three times. After a short while, Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) came and informed him about the prayer, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to lead the prayer, and in prostration, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to supplicate: «اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْ فِي قَلْبِي نُورًا وَاجْعَلْ فِي سَمْعِي نُورًا وَاجْعَلْ فِي بَصَرِي نُورًا وَاجْعَلْ أَمَامِي نُورًا وَخَلْفِي نُورًا وَاجْعَلْ عَنْ يَمِينِي نُورًا وَعَنْ شِمَالِي نُورًا وَفَوْقِي نُورًا وَتَحْتِي نُورًا اَللّٰهُمَّ أَعْظِمْ لِي نُورًا» "O Allah! Place light in my heart, in my ears, in my eyes, on my right, on my left, in front of me, behind me, above me, and beneath me, and grant me more and more light."
Hadith 3542
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that among the children, after Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her), the first to perform prayer or accept Islam was Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him).
Hadith 3543
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that at the time of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) passing, I was fifteen years old.
Hadith 3544
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade every predatory animal that hunts with its fangs and every bird that hunts with its talons.
Hadith 3545
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would spend several consecutive nights with an empty stomach in such a way that the members of his household would not have dinner at night, and most often, when they did get something to eat, it would be barley bread.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was taken on the Night of Ascension (Mi'raj) to visit Bayt al-Maqdis, then he returned the same night and informed the Quraysh about his journey, the signs of Bayt al-Maqdis, and about one of their caravans. Some people began to say, "Can we believe what Muhammad says?" Saying this, they reverted to disbelief, and Allah Almighty struck their necks along with Abu Jahl. Once, Abu Jahl had said that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) frightens us with the tree of Tuhar; bring me dates and foam, I will show you how to make a Tuhar. On that very Night of Ascension, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw the Dajjal with his own eyes—not as one sees in a dream—and also visited Jesus, Moses, and Abraham (peace be upon them). Someone asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the Dajjal, so he said, "I found him to be large in stature and of a greenish-white complexion. One of his eyes was prominent, and it seemed as if it was a shining pearl, and the hair on his head was like the branches of a tree. I saw Jesus (peace be upon him); he was a young man of white complexion, with curly hair, sharp eyes, and physically had a slim belly. I saw Moses (peace be upon him); he was of very wheat-colored complexion, had thick hair, and was physically very strong. I also saw Abraham (peace be upon him); there was no part of his body that I saw in him except that I saw the same in myself, as if he was exactly like your Prophet. Then Gabriel (peace be upon him) said: Greet Malik, who is the keeper of Hell. So I greeted him with peace."
