It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Sayyiduna Ma'iz bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he confessed to adultery twice. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Take him away." Then he was called back, and he confessed two more times, until he had confessed four times regarding himself. Only then did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) order that he be stoned.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that during the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the caliphate of Abu Bakr, and the first two years of the caliphate of Umar, three divorces were considered as only one. But later, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said that people began to hasten in a matter in which they were given ease (started giving many divorces), so if we enforce three divorces as three, it would be better. Thus, he enforced this ruling.

From each camel, a piece of meat was taken, all of which were collected in a pot and cooked together. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate from it and also drank its broth. And on the occasion of the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, seventy camels were sacrificed, among which was also the camel of Abu Jahl. When they were prevented from going towards the House of Allah, those camels began to cry as if they were crying for their children.

Forgive me, have mercy on me, raise my ranks, grant me sustenance, and guide me." Then he would perform the second prostration.

Now it is forbidden until the Day of Resurrection. Its grass should not be cut, its trees should not be cut, its game should not be chased, and its lost property should not be picked up except by one who will announce it and return it to its owner.” Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Please make an exception for the grass called ‘izkhir’ for our goldsmiths and for graves. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made an exception for it and said: “Now migration is no longer obligatory, but jihad and intention remain. So when you are called to go forth for jihad, then go forth.”

Those who settled in Yemen were: Madhhij, Kindah, Azd, Ash'ariyyin, Anmar, and all the Arabs of Himyar. And those who settled in Syria were: Lakhm, Juzam, Amilah, and Ghassan."

After finishing the prayer, he turned towards Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) and said, "What concern do you have with my head?" He replied, "I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: 'The example of one who prays in this manner is like that of a person who prays with his hands tied behind his back.'"
