Sayyidah Umm Tariq (may Allah be pleased with her), the freedwoman of Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him), said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us and asked permission several times, but he (peace and blessings be upon him) was not answered, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) went back. Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Go to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), convey greetings of peace to him, and tell him that we kept silent only so that he would give us more (greetings of peace). So I went to him. While I was sitting there, suddenly something came and asked permission at the door. He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Who are you? It said: I am Umm Mildam (fever). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Neither welcome nor greeting."
