حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، وَابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ أُسْتَحَاضُ فَلَا أَطْهُرُ، أَفَأَدَعُ الصَّلَاةَ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ عِرْقٌ وَلَيْسَ بِالْحَيْضَةِ، فَإِذا أَقْبَلَتِ الْحَيْضَةُ فَدَعِي الصَّلَاةَ، وَإِذَا أَدْبَرَتْ فَاغْتَسِلِي عَنْكِ الدَّمَ، ثُمَّ صَلِّي»

Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said that Fatimah bint Abi Hubaysh (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah! I suffer from istihadah (prolonged bleeding) and do not become pure; shall I then leave the prayer? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That is only the blood of a vein, not menstruation. When the menstruation comes, leave the prayer, and when it ends, wash off the blood and take a ritual bath (ghusl), then pray."

Hadith 21257

حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ كَانَتْ تُسْتَحَاضُ، فَسَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «إِنَّمَا هُوَ عِرْقٌ وَلَيْسَ بِالْحَيْضَةِ، فَإِذَا أَقْبَلَتِ الْحَيْضَةُ فَاتْرُكِي الصَّلَاةَ، وَإِذَا أَدْبَرَتْ فَاغْتَسِلِي وَصَلِّي»

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that Fatimah bint Abi Hubaysh (may Allah be pleased with her) suffered from istihadah (prolonged bleeding), so she asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That is only a vein, not menstruation. When the menstruation comes, leave the prayer, and when it ends, take a ritual bath (ghusl) and pray."

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ عَلَى هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: جَاءَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ حُبَيْشٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ: إِنِّي مُسْتَحَاضَةٌ، أَفَأَدَعُ الصَّلَاةَ؟ فَقَالَ: «إِذَا أَقْبَلَتِ الْحَيْضَةُ فَدَعِيها قَدْرَهَا، ثُمَّ اغْسِلِي الدَّمَ وَصَلِّي»

Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said that Fatimah bint Hubaysh (may Allah be pleased with her) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I suffer from istihadah (prolonged bleeding); shall I leave the prayer? حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ الْمَازِنِيُّ، ثنا كَثِيرُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالُوا: ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ اسْتَفْتَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ: إِنِّي أَسْتَحِيضُ فَلَا أَطْهُرُ، أَفَأَدَعُ الصَّلَاةَ؟ قَالَ: «ذَاكَ عِرْقٌ وَلَيْسَ بِحَيْضَةٍ، فَإِذَا أَقْبَلَتِ الْحَيْضَةُ فَدَعِي الصَّلَاةَ، وَإِذَا أَدْبَرَتْ فَاغْسِلِي عَنْكِ الدَّمَ، وَتَوَضَّئِي فَإِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ عِرْقٌ، وَلَيْسَتْ بِالْحَيْضَةِ»

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that Fatimah bint Abi Hubaysh (may Allah be pleased with her) asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for a ruling and said: I suffer from istihadah (prolonged bleeding) and do not become pure; shall I then leave the prayer? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That is a vein, not menstruation. When the menstruation comes, leave the prayer, and when it ends, wash off the blood and perform ablution (wudu), for that is only a vein, not menstruation."

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that Fatimah bint Abi Hubaysh (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah! I suffer from istihadah (prolonged bleeding) and the blood does not stop for me. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Leave the prayer during the days of your menstruation; then, when the days of your menstruation have passed, take a ritual bath (ghusl) and perform ablution (wudu) for every prayer."

Hadith 21265

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الرَّازِيُّ، ثنا رُبَيْحٌ أَبُو غَسَّانَ الرَّازِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَغْرَاءَ، ثنا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ، أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ: إِنِّي أُسْتَحَاضُ وَأَرَى الدَّمَ، فَأَمَرَهَا أَنْ تَقْعُدَ أَيَّامَ أَقْرَائِهَا، فَإِذَا كَانَ عِنْدَ طُهْرِهَا اغْتَسَلَتْ، ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَتْ لِكُلِّ صَلَاةٍ، وَقَالَ: «إِنَّمَا هُوَ عِرْقٌ مِنْكِ»

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that Fatimah bint Abi Hubaysh (may Allah be pleased with her) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I suffer from istihadah (prolonged bleeding) and I see blood. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered her not to pray during the days of her menstruation, then, when the time of her purity came, to take a ritual bath (ghusl), then to perform ablution (wudu) for every prayer, and he said: "That is only a vein of yours."

حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْهَاشِمِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو مَرْوَانَ الْعُثْمَانِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: جَاءَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ الْأَسَدِيَّةُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَسْتَفْتِيهِ وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَةً تُسْتَحَاضُ، فَقَالَتْ: وَاللهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا أَطْهُرُ أَفَأَتْرُكُ الصَّلَاةَ لِهَذَا؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ عِرْقٌ وَلَيْسَ بِالْحَيْضَةِ، فَإِذَا أَقْبَلَتْ فَاتْرُكِي الصَّلَاةَ، وَإِذَا أَدْبَرَتْ فَاغْسِلِي عَنْكِ الدَّمَ، ثُمَّ صَلِّي»

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ دُحَيْمٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثنا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ أَبِي جَمِيلٍ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَمَاعَةَ، ثنا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ، مِنْ بَنِي أَسَدِ، قُرَيْشٍ أَنَّهَا أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَتْ لَهَا أَنَّهَا تُسْتَحَاضُ فَزَعَمَتْ فَاطِمَةُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «إِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ عِرْقٌ، فَإِذَا أَقْبَلَتِ الْحَيْضَةُ فَدَعِي الصَّلَاةَ، وَإِذَا أَدْبَرَتْ فَاغْسِلِي عَنْكِ أَثَرَ الدَّمِ، ثُمَّ صَلِّي»

It is narrated from Sayyidah Fatimah bint Qays (may Allah be pleased with her), who was from Banu Asad of Quraysh, that she came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and mentioned to him that she suffered from istihadah (prolonged bleeding). Fatimah stated that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That is only a vein. When the menstruation comes, leave the prayer, and when it ends, wash off the traces of the blood and pray."
