Sayyidah Asma' bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was alarmed on the day the sun was eclipsed, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) (in haste) took a shirt (dir') and put it on, until (later) he found his cloak. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) led the people in a very long standing: he would stand, then bow, then rise. If a person came after he had risen from bowing, he would not have known that he (peace and blessings be upon him) had bowed at all, nor, because of the length of the standing, would it have occurred to him that a bowing had taken place. So I began looking at the woman who was older than me, and the woman who was sicker than me, standing, and I would say: I am more deserving of being patient through the long standing."

Sayyidah Asma' bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) said: We set out in the state of ihram, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has a hady (sacrificial animal) with him should remain in his ihram, and whoever does not have a hady with him should come out of ihram." I had no hady with me, so I came out of ihram; Zubayr had a hady with him, so he did not come out of ihram. So I put on my clothes, then came and sat beside Zubayr, and he said: Move away from me. I said: Are you afraid that I will leap upon you?

It is narrated from Sayyidah Asma' bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) that a woman came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! I married off my daughter, and she fell ill and her hair fell out, and her husband keeps coming to me. May I join extensions to her hair? So he (peace and blessings be upon him) reviled the woman who joins hair and the woman who has it joined.
