Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 20723 — In the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، قَالَتْ: «كُنَّا نُؤَدِّي زَكَاةَ الْفِطْرِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْمُدِّ الَّذِي نَقْتَاتُ بِهِ»
Sayyidah Asma' bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "In the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), we used to pay Zakat al-Fitr with the same mudd (measure) with which we measured out our food."
