حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ، قَالَ: قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: اشْتَكَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِي، فَأَتَتْهُ فَاطِمَةُ تَمْشِي وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ عَائِشَةَ بِيَدِهِ كَأَنَّ مِشْيَتَهَا مِشْيَةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَسَارَّهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَبَكَتْ ثُمَّ سَارَّهَا فَضَحِكَتْ فَقُلْتُ: مَا رَأَيْتُ كَالْيَوْمِ ضَحِكًا أَقْرَبَ مِنْ بُكَاءٍ فَقُلْتُ: يَا فَاطِمَةُ، أَخْبِرِينِي مَا قَالَ لَكِ؟ قَالَتْ: مَا كُنْتُ أَفْعَلُ وَقَدْ رَأَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَكَانَكِ فَلَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَأَلَهَا فَقَالَتْ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ كَانَ يُعَارِضُنِي بِالْقُرْآنِ فِي كُلِّ سَنَةٍ مَرَّةً وَقَدْ عَارَضَنِي بِهِ الْعَامَ مَرَّتَيْنِ، وَلَا أُرَانِي إِلَّا مَدْعُوًّا بِهِ فَأَجِيبُ فَاتَّقِي اللهَ» قَالَتْ: فَجَزِعْتُ ثُمَّ سَارَّنِي فَقَالَ: «أَمَا تَرْضَيْنَ أَنَّ زَوْجَكِ أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ إِسْلَامًا وَأَعْلَمُهُمْ عِلْمًا؟ فَإِنَّكِ سَيِّدَةُ نِسَاءِ أُمَّتِي كَمَا سَادَتْ مَرْيَمُ نِسَاءَ قَوْمِهَا»
Abu al-Tufayl (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) fell ill in my house, and Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) came walking to him (peace and blessings be upon him), and by the One in whose hand is Aishah's soul, her gait was as if it were the gait of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) whispered to her and she wept; then he whispered to her and she laughed. I said: I have never seen, as I have today, laughter so close to weeping. I said: O Fatimah, tell me what he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to you. She said: Why would I do that, when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw your position? Then, when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) asked her, and she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibril used to review the Qur'an with me once every year, and this year he has reviewed it with me twice. I think that I am now being called, and I shall answer, so remain conscious of Allah." Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I became distressed, then he (peace and blessings be upon him) whispered to me and said: "Are you not pleased that your husband is the first of the Muslims to accept Islam and the most knowledgeable of them? And you are the leader of the women of my Ummah, just as Maryam was the leader of the women of her people."
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْعَلَّافُ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ثنا نَافِعُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، حَدَّثَنِي عُمَارَةُ بْنُ غَزِيَّةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، أَنَّ أُمَّهُ، فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ حُسَيْنٍ حَدَّثَتْهُ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ كَانَتْ تَقُولُ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مَرَضِهِ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ، قَالَ لِفَاطِمَةَ: «يَا بُنَيَّةُ احْنِي عَلَيَّ» فَأَحْنَتْ عَلَيْهِ فَنَاجَاهَا سَاعَةً ثُمَّ انْكَشَفَتْ وَهِيَ تَبْكِي وَعَائِشَةُ حَاضِرَةٌ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ بِسَاعَةٍ: «احْنِي عَلَيَّ يَا بُنَيَّةُ» فَأَحْنَتْ عَلَيْهِ فَنَاجَاهَا سَاعَةً ثُمَّ انْكَشَفَتْ عَنْهُ فَضَحِكَتْ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: فَقُلْتُ: أَيْ بُنَيَّةُ، أَخْبِرِينِي مَاذَا نَاجَاكِ أَبُوكِ؟ فَقَالَتْ فَاطِمَةُ: نَاجَانِي عَلَى حَالٍ سِرٍّ، ظَنَنْتِ أَنِّي أُخْبِرُ بِسِرِّهِ وَهُوَ حَيٌّ فَشَقَّ ذَلِكَ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ أَنْ يَكُونَ سِرًّا دُونَهَا، فَلَمَّا قَبَضَهُ اللهُ، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ لِفَاطِمَةَ: يَا بُنَيَّةُ، أَلَا تُخْبِرينِي بِذَلِكَ الْخَبَرِ؟ قَالَتْ: أَمَّا الْآنَ، فَنَعَمْ، نَاجَانِي فِي الْمَرَّةِ الْأُولَى فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُعَارِضُهُ بِالْقُرْآنِ فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ مَرَّةً، وَأَنَّهُ عَارَضَهُ بِالْقُرْآنِ الْعَامَ مَرَّتَيْنِ، وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ نَبِيٌّ إِلَّا عَاشَ نِصْفَ عُمَرَ الَّذِي قَبْلَهُ، وَأَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ عَاشَ عِشْرِينَ وَماِئةَ سَنَةٍ وَلَا أُرَانِي إِلَّا ذَاهِبًا عَلَى رَأْسِ السِّتِّينَ فَأَبْكَانِي ذَلِكَ وَقَالَ: «يَا بُنَيَّةُ، إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ نِسَاءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ امْرَأَةٌ أَعْظَمُ رُزِّيَّةً مِنْكِ، فَلَا تَكُونِي أَدْنَى مِنِ امْرَأَةٍ صَبْرًا» وَنَاجَانِي فِي الْمَرَّةِ الْآخِرَةِ فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنِّي أَوَّلُ أَهْلِهِ لُحُوقًا بِهِ وَقَالَ: «إِنَّكِ سَيِّدَةُ نِسَاءِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ إِلَّا مَا كَانَ مِنَ الْبَتُولِ مَرْيَمَ بِنْتِ عِمْرَانَ» فَضَحِكَتُ بِذَلِكَ
Fatimah bint Husayn (may Allah have mercy on her) narrated that Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) used to say: During the illness in which he (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her): "My daughter, bend down to me." She bent down to him (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) whispered to her for a while; then she drew back, weeping, while Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) was present. Then a while later the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said again: "My daughter, bend down to me." She bent down again, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) whispered to her for a while; then she drew back, laughing. Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I said: My daughter, tell me what your father whispered to you. Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: He told me something in confidence; do you think I would reveal his secret while he is alive? It weighed on Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that this secret had been kept from her. Then, when Allah took his (peace and blessings be upon him) soul, Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said to Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her): My daughter, will you not tell me that matter now? She said: Now, yes. The first time, he whispered to me and told me that Jibril (peace be upon him) used to review the Qur'an with him once every year, and that this year he reviewed the Qur'an with him twice; and he told me that every prophet lived half the age of the prophet before him; and he told me that Isa bin Maryam lived one hundred and twenty years, and: "I think I shall depart around the age of sixty." That made me weep, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "My daughter, no woman among the Muslim women will have a greater calamity than you, so do not be less than any woman in patience." And the second time he whispered to me and told me that I would be the first of his family to join him, and he said: "You are the leader of the women of Paradise, except for the Batul, Maryam bint Imran." So I laughed at that.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ فِرَاسٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: أَقْبَلَتْ فَاطِمَةُ تَمْشِي كَأَنَّ مِشْيَتَهَا مِشْيَةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «مَرْحَبًا بِابْنَتِي» فَأَجْلَسَهَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، أَوْ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ، ثُمَّ أَسَرَّ إِلَيْهَا حَدِيثًا فَبَكَتْ فَقُلْتُ لَهَا: اسْتَخَصَّكِ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِحَدِيثِهِ، ثُمَّ تَبْكِينَ، ثُمَّ أَسَرَّ إِلَيْهَا حَدِيثًا فَضَحِكَتْ فَقُلْتُ: مَا رَأَيْتُ كَالْيَوْمِ فَرَحًا أَقْرَبَ مِنْ حَزَنٍ، فَسَأَلْتُهَا عَمَّا قَالَ؟ فَقَالَتْ: مَا كُنْتُ لِأُفْشِيَ سِرَّ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى إِذَا قُبِضَ سَأَلْتُهَا فَقَالَتْ: إِنَّهُ أَسََرَّ إِلَيَّ فَقَالَ: «إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ كَانَ يُعَارِضُنِي الْقُرْآنَ كُلَّ سَنَةٍ مَرَّةً، وَإِنَّهُ عَارَضَنِي الْعَامَ مَرَّتَيْنِ فَلَا أُرَاهُ إِلَّا قَدْ حَضَرَ أَجَلِي، وَإِنَّكَ أَوَّلُ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي لَحَاقًا بِي، وَنِعْمَ السَّلَفُ أَنَا لَكِ» فَبَكَيْتُ لِذَلِكَ ثُمَّ قَالَ: «أَلَا تَرْضَيْنَ أَنْ تَكُونِي سَيِّدَةَ نِسَاءِ الْأُمَّةِ أَوْ نِسَاءَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ» فَضَحِكَتُ لِذَلِكَ
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) came walking, her gait as if it were like the gait of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Welcome, my daughter." He seated her on his right or on his left, then said something to her in a whisper, and she wept. I said to her: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) singled you out for his words, and then you weep? Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) whispered to her again, and she laughed. I said: I have never seen, as I have today, joy so close to grief. I asked her what he (peace and blessings be upon him) had said, and she said: I cannot disclose the secret of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Then, when he (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, I asked again, and she said: He (peace and blessings be upon him) whispered to me and said: "Jibril used to review the Qur'an with me once every year, and this year he has reviewed it twice, so I think my time of death has come. And you will be the first of my household to join me, and what an excellent forerunner I am for you." So I wept at that. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Are you not pleased to be the leader of the women of the Ummah, or of the Muslim women?" So I laughed at that.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ فِرَاسٍ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: اجْتَمَعَ نِسَاءُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ تُغَادِرْ مِنْهُنَّ امْرَأَةٌ فَجَاءَتْ فَاطِمَةُ تَمْشِي مَا تُخْطِئُ مِشْيَتَهَا مِنْ مِشْيَةِ أَبِيهَا صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «مَرْحَبًا يَا بِنْتِي» ، فَأَقْعَدَهَا، عَنْ يَمِينِهِ أَوْ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ فَسَارَّهَا بِشَيْءٍ فَبَكَتْ، ثُمَّ سَارَّهَا فَضَحِكَتْ، فَقُلْنَا لَهَا: خَصَّكِ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ بَيْنَنَا لِسِرٍّ وَتَبْكِينَ، فَلَمَّا قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُلْتُ لَهَا: أَخْبِرِينِي بِمَا سَارَّكِ، قَالَتْ: مَا كُنْتُ لِأُفْشِيَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَرَّهُ، فَلَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قُلْتُ لَهَا: أَسْأَلُكِ بِمَا لِي عَلَيْكِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ لَمَا أَخْبَرْتِينِي، فَقَالَتْ: أَمَّا الْآنَ فَنَعَمْ، سَارَّنِي، فَقَالَ لِي: «إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ كَانَ يُعَارِضُنِي الْقُرْآنَ فِي كُلِّ سَنَةٍ مَرَّةً، وَإِنَّهُ عَارَضَنِي الْعَامَ مَرَّتَيْنِ، وَلَا أَرَى ذَلِكَ إِلَّا عِنْدَ اقْتِرَابِ أَجْلِي، فَاتَّقِي اللهَ، وَاصْبِرِي فَنِعْمَ السَّلَفُ أَنَا لَكِ» ، فَبَكَيْتُ، ثُمَّ سَارَّنِي فَقَالَ: «أَمَا تَرْضَيْنَ أَنْ تَكُونِي سَيِّدَةَ نِسَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ» أَوْ قَالَ: «نِسَاءِ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ» ، فَضَحِكَتُ
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The wives of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gathered, not one of them absent, and Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) came walking, her gait not differing in the least from the gait of her father (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Welcome, my daughter." He seated her on his right or on his left, then whispered something to her and she wept; then he whispered to her and she laughed. We said to her: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) singled you out from among all of us for a secret, and you weep? When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) got up, I said to her: Tell me what he (peace and blessings be upon him) whispered to you. She said: I cannot disclose the secret of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Then, when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, I said to her: I ask you by the right I have over you to tell me. She said: Now, yes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) whispered to me and said: "Jibril used to review the Qur'an with me once every year, and this year he has reviewed it twice, and I think this is a sign that my death has drawn near. So remain conscious of Allah and be patient; what an excellent forerunner I am for you." So I wept. Then he whispered to me and said: "Are you not pleased to be the leader of the believing women," or he said: "of the women of this Ummah?" So I laughed.
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، قَالَا: ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ لِفَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " رَأَيْتُكِ أَكْبَبْتِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مَرَضِهِ فَبَكَيْتِ، ثُمَّ أَكْبَبْتُ عَلَيْهِ ثَانِيَةً فَضَحِكَتِ، قَالَتْ: أَكْبَبْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ مَيِّتٌ فَبَكَيْتُ، ثُمَّ أَكْبَبْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنِّي أَوَّلُ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ لُحُوقًا بِهِ، وَأَنِّي سَيِّدَةُ نِسَاءِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ إِلَّا مَا كَانَ مِنْ مَرْيَمَ بِنْتِ عِمْرَانَ فَضَحِكَتُ "
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I said to Sayyidah Fatimah bint Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him) (may Allah be pleased with her): I saw you bend over the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) during his illness and weep, then bend over him a second time and laugh. She said: I bent over him and he (peace and blessings be upon him) told me that he was going to die, so I wept; then I bent over him and he (peace and blessings be upon him) told me that I would be the first of his household to join him, and that I am the leader of the women of Paradise except for Maryam bint Imran, so I laughed.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ، ثنا رَوْحُ بْنُ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ، عَنْ أُمِّ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: بَيْنَمَا أَنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتٍ يُلَاعِبُنِي وَأُلَاعِبُهُ، إِذْ دَخَلَتْ عَلَيْنَا فَاطِمَةُ فَأَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِهَا فَأَقْعَدَهَا خَلْفَهُ وَنَاجَاهَا بِشَيْءٍ لَا أَدْرِي مَا هُوَ، فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَى فَاطِمَةَ تَبْكِي، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ إِلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَحَدَّثَنِي وَلَاعَبَنِي، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْهَا فَلَاعَبَهَا وَنَاجَاهَا بِشَيْءٍ فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَى فَاطِمَةَ، وَإِذَا هِيَ تَضْحَكُ، فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَخَرَجَ فَقُلْتُ لِفَاطِمَةَ: مَا الَّذِي نَاجَاكِ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟، قَالَتْ: «لَيْسَ كُلَّمَا أَسَرَّ إِلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُخْبِرُكِ بِهِ» ، قُلْتُ: أُذَكِّرُكِ اللهَ وَالرَّحِمَ، قَالَتْ: «أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ مَقْبُوضٌ قَدْ حَضَرَ أَجَلُهُ فَبَكَيْتُ لِفِرَاقِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ إِلَيَّ فَنَاجَانِي أَنِّي أَوَّلُ مَنْ يَلْحَقُ بِهِ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ فَضَحِكْتُ لِلِقَاءِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in a house; he (peace and blessings be upon him) was playing with me and I was playing with him (peace and blessings be upon him), when Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) came in to us. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) took her by the hand, seated her behind him, and whispered something to her that I did not know, and I saw that Fatimah was weeping. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) turned to me, talked with me and played with me; then he turned to her, played with her and whispered something to her, and I looked at Sayyidah Fatimah and she was laughing. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and went out, and I said to Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her): What did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) whisper to you? She said: "I cannot tell you everything that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) whispers to me." I said: I adjure you by Allah and by the ties of kinship. She said: "He (peace and blessings be upon him) told me that he would be taken, that his time had come, so I wept at being parted from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) turned to me and told me in a whisper that I would be the first of his household to join him, so I laughed out of joy at meeting the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)."
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَعْمَرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الرَّازِيُّ، ثنا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: دَخَلَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَارَّهَا بِشَيْءٍ فَبَكَتْ، ثُمَّ دَعَاهَا بِشَيْءٍ فَضَحِكَتْ، فَلَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ قُلْتُ: أَخْبِرِينِي، مَا الَّذِي أَبْكَاكِ ثُمَّ أَضْحَكَكِ؟ قَالَتْ: نُعِيَتْ إِلَيْهِ نَفْسُهُ فَبَكَيْتُ، ثُمَّ سَارَّنِي فَقَالَ: «إِنَّكِ أَوَّلُ أَهْلِي لُحُوقًا بِي» فَضَحِكَتُ: قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ، فَمَا عَاشَتْ بَعْدَهُ إِلَّا سِتَّةَ أَشْهُرٍ
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Sayyidah Fatimah bint al-Nabi (peace and blessings be upon him) came (to him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) whispered something to her and she wept; then he (peace and blessings be upon him) called her for something and she laughed. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, I said: Tell me, what made you weep and then laugh? She said: He had been informed of his death, so I wept; then he (peace and blessings be upon him) whispered to me and said: "You will be the first of my family to join me," so I laughed. Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: She lived only six months after him (peace and blessings be upon him).
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْهَاشِمِيُّ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الْحِمَّانِيُّ قَالَا: ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: دَعَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاطِمَةَ فِي مَرَضِهِ فَسَارَّهَا فَبَكَتْ، ثُمَّ سَارَّهَا فَضَحِكَتْ، فَسَأَلْتُهَا عَنْ ذَلِكَ مَا الَّذِي رَأَيْتِ الَّذِي سَارَّكِ فَبَكَيْتِ، ثُمَّ سَارَّكِ فَضَحِكَتِ؟ فَقَالَتْ: «أَخْبَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَوْتِهِ فَبَكَيْتُ، ثُمَّ أَخْبَرَنِي إِنِّي أَوَّلُ مَنْ يَتْبَعُهُ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ فَضَحِكَتُ»
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) called Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) during his illness and whispered to her, and she wept; then he whispered to her and she laughed. I asked her about that: What did you see, that he (peace and blessings be upon him) whispered to you and you wept, then whispered to you and you laughed? She said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) told me of his death, so I wept; then he told me that I would be the first of his family to follow him (to join him), so I laughed."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، ثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ مَيْسَرَةَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَتْ فَاطِمَةُ: وَأَخْبَرَنِي تُرِيدُ: «رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنِّي أَوَّلُ أَهْلِهِ لُحُوقًا بِهِ»
Sayyidah Aishah, the Mother of the Believers (may Allah be pleased with her), said: Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "And he," meaning the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), "told me that I would be the first of his family to join him."
