حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ دُحَيْمٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو شَيْخٍ الْهُنَائِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي حِمَّانُ، قَالَ: حَجَّ مُعَاوِيَةُ فَدَعَا نَفَرًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، فَقَالَ: «أَنْشُدُكُمُ اللهَ أَلَمْ تَعَلَّمُوا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ» نَهَى عَنِ الذَّهَبِ؟ "، قَالُوا: اللهُمَّ نَعَمْ، قَالَ: «وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ» ، قَالَ: «أَنْشُدُكُمُ اللهَ أَلَمْ تَسْمَعُوا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، نَهَى عَنْ صُفَفِ الْحَرِيرِ؟» ، قَالُوا: اللهُمَّ نَعَمْ، قَالَ: «أَنْشُدُكُمُ اللهَ أَلَمْ تَسْمَعُوا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْهَى عَنْ صُفَفِ النُّمُورِ؟» ، قَالُوا: اللهُمَّ نَعَمْ، قَالَ: «وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ»
Himman (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) performed Hajj and called a group of the Ansar, then said: "I adjure you by Allah, do you not know that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade gold?" They said: By Allah, yes. He said: "And I too bear witness." He said: "I adjure you by Allah, did you not hear the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbid saddle cushions of silk?" They said: By Allah, yes. He said: "I adjure you by Allah, did you not hear the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbid saddle cushions of leopard skin?" They said: By Allah, yes. He said: "And I too bear witness."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ فَيَّاضٍ الزِّمَّانِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ، ثنا حَرْبُ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا شَيْخٍ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ حِمَّانَ، أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَعِنْدَهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «أَنْشُدُكُمُ اللهَ أَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ» نَهَى عَنْ لِبْسِ الذَّهَبِ إِلَّا مُقَطَّعًا؟ "، قَالُوا: اللهُمَّ نَعَمْ، قَالَ: «وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ» ، قَالَ: «أَنْشُدُكُمُ اللهَ أَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ رُكُوبِ جُلُودِ النِّمَارِ؟» ، قَالُوا: اللهُمَّ نَعَمْ، قَالَ: «وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ»
It is narrated from Himman (may Allah have mercy on him) that he was present with Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), and some of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) were with him. He said: "I adjure you by Allah, do you know that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade wearing gold except when it is in small pieces?" They said: By Allah, yes. He said: "And I too bear witness." He said: "I adjure you by Allah, do you know that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade riding on leopard skins?" They said: By Allah, yes. He said: "And I too bear witness."
حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثنا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو شَيْخٍ، حَدَّثَنِي حِمَّانُ، قَالَ: حَجَّ مُعَاوِيَةُ فَدَعَا نَفَرًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فِي الْكَعْبَةِ، فَقَالَ: «أَنْشُدُكُمُ اللهَ أَلَمْ تَسْمَعُوا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنِ الذَّهَبِ؟» ، قَالُوا: اللهُمَّ نَعَمْ، قَالَ: «وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ، أَلَمْ تَسْمَعُوا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ صُفَفِ النُّمُورِ؟» ، قَالُوا: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: «وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ، أَلَمْ تَسْمَعُوا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنِ الْحَرِيرِ؟» ، قَالُوا: اللهُمَّ نَعَمْ، قَالَ: «وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ»
