حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ بَحِيرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّ الْمُسِرَّ بِالْقُرْآنِ كَالْمُسِرِّ بِالصَّدَقَةِ وَالْجَاهِرَ بِالْقُرْآنِ كَالْجَاهِرِ بِالصَّدَقَةِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one who recites the Qur'an quietly is like the one who gives charity secretly, and the one who recites the Qur'an aloud is like the one who gives charity openly."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ، ثَنَا أَبِي، ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ بَحِيرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ
Likewise a similar hadith is also narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him).
حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، ثَنَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ: «إِنَّ الَّذِي يُسِرُّ بِالْقُرْآنِ كَالَّذِي يُسِرُّ بِالصَّدَقَةِ وَالَّذِي يَجْهَرُ بِالْقُرْآنِ كَالَّذِي يَجْهَرُ بِالصَّدَقَةِ»
