It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah has sent me as a guidance and a mercy to all the worlds, and my Lord has commanded me to break the pipes, the musical instruments, and the idols that were worshipped besides Allah. And my Lord has sworn by His might: Whichever of My servants drinks wine, I will make him drink boiling water, then I will either forgive him or punish him. And my Lord has sworn by His might: Whichever of My servants gives wine to drink to a child who has no understanding, I will make him drink the same amount of boiling water, whether I forgive him or punish him. And my Lord has sworn by His might: Whichever of My servants abandons it out of fear of Me, I will give him to drink in Hazirat al-Quds (the Sacred Enclosure)."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This religion has a rise and a decline. Listen! Part of the rise of this religion is that an entire tribe gains understanding (of the religion), until only one or two sinners remain in it, and those two sinners are humiliated in it; if they speak, they are suppressed and oppressed. And part of the decline of this religion is that an entire tribe turns away (from the religion), until only one or two people of understanding remain in it, and those two are humiliated in it; if they speak, they are suppressed and oppressed. And the later ones of the Ummah will curse the earlier ones. Beware! The curse will have befallen them when they drink wine openly, until a woman passes by a group of people and one of them gets up to her and lifts her hem just as the tail of a ewe is lifted, and someone will only say: Get behind some wall! On that day he will be among them like Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) are among you. So whoever enjoins good and forbids evil on that day will have the reward of fifty of those who saw me, believed in me, obeyed me and followed me."

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: One day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and began the prayer, and he saw some phlegm in the direction of the qiblah. So he took off his sandal, then walked to it and scraped it off. He (peace and blessings be upon him) did this three times. Then, when he had completed the prayer, he turned towards the people, praised and extolled Allah, and then said: "O people, when one of you stands in prayer, he stands in a tremendous station before a tremendous Lord, asking for a tremendous thing: success with Paradise and salvation from the Fire. And when one of you stands in prayer, he stands before Allah, facing his Lord, his angel on his right and his companion on his left. So let none of you spit in front of him or to his right, but rather to his left, beneath his left foot, then let him rub it and rub it hard, for he is in fact rubbing the two ears of Satan. By the One who sent me with the truth, when the veils between you and him are lifted, or he is permitted to speak, he will complain of what he suffers from that."

He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then eat." She said: Give me your hand. He (peace and blessings be upon him) gave her his hand. She said: Feed me from what is in your mouth.
