Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: Sayyiduna Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was reclining on a cushion. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) put the cushion down for him. Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest), Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Abu Abdullah! Tell us. Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was reclining on a cushion, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) put the cushion down towards me, then said: "O Salman! Any Muslim who goes to his Muslim brother, and he puts down a cushion for him to honour him, Allah forgives him."
