Shurahbil (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates: I was in al-Aswaq with Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) when some people caught a bird. Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived, and the people put the bird in my hand. He took the bird and set it free, then struck me on the back of my neck and said: May you have no mother!
