حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ، عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَذَكَرَ الدَّجَّالَ: «مَكْتُوبٌ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ كَافِرٌ، يَقْرَؤُهُ كُلُّ مُسْلِمٍ»
Tariq bin Shihab narrates from Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), while mentioning the Dajjal, said: "Between his two eyes will be written 'Kafir' (disbeliever), which every Muslim will read."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْمُؤَدِّبُ، ثنا عَفَّانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ زِرٍّ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «أُنْزِلَ الْقُرْآنُ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَحْرُفٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Qur'an was revealed in seven ahruf (modes of recitation)."
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ الْعُمَيْرِيُّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُسَاوِرٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَا: ثنا مُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ أَبِي الصَّلْتِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ عَلَيْكُمْ أُمَرَاءُ يَكْذِبُونَ، فَمَنْ صَدَّقَهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ، وَأَعَانَهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ؛ فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي وَلَسْتُ مِنْهُ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يُصَدِّقْهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ، وَلَمْ يُعِنْهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ؛ فَهُوَ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُ، وَسَيَرِدُ عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ غَدًا إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Soon there will be rulers over you who will lie. Whoever affirms them in their lies and helps them in their oppression is not of me and I am not of him. And whoever does not affirm them in their lies and does not help them in their oppression is of me and I am of him, and he will come to me at the Pond tomorrow, if Allah wills."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو قَطَنٍ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ قَتَّاتٌ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The talebearer will not enter Paradise."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، ثنا سَعْدٌ أَبُو غَيْلَانَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ صِلَةَ بْنِ زُفَرَ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَيَدْخُلَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ الْفَاجِرُ فِي دِينِهِ، الْأَحْمَقُ فِي مَعِيشَتِهِ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَيَدْخُلَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ الَّذِي قَدْ مَحَشَتْهُ النَّارُ بِذَنَبِهِ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَيَغْفِرَنَّ اللهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَغْفِرَةً يَتَطَاوَلُ لَهَا إِبْلِيسُ رَجَاءَ أَنْ تُصِيبَهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By the One in whose hand is my soul, even the person who is sinful in his religion and foolish in his worldly affairs will enter Paradise. By the One in whose hand is my soul, even the person whom the Fire has scorched because of his sin will enter Paradise. And by the One in whose hand is my soul, on the Day of Resurrection Allah will grant such forgiveness that even Iblis will crane his neck towards it in the hope that it may reach him too."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، ثنا أَبِي ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شُعَيْبٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا جَدِّي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي شُعَيْبٍ قَالَا: ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ أَعْيَنَ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ صِلَةَ بْنِ زُفَرَ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّ قَذْفَ الْمُحْصَنَةِ يَهْدِمُ عَمَلَ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Slandering a chaste woman demolishes the good deeds of a hundred years."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا جُمْهُورُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُجَالِدٍ، ثنا مُجَالِدٌ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ، قَالَ: حَجَجْتُ مَعَ حُذَيْفَةَ، فَقَعَدَ إِلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: يَا أَصْحَابَ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَيُّكُمْ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَذْكُرُ الْفِتْنَةَ؟ فَقَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ: أَنَا. فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: إِنَّكَ لَجَرِيءٌ. قَالَ: أَجْرَأُ مِنِّي مَنْ كَتَمَ عِلْمًا. قَالَ عُمَرُ: فَكَيْفَ سَمِعْتَهُ؟ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " إِنَّ فِي مَالِ الرَّجُلِ فِتْنَةً، وَفِي زَوْجَتِهِ فِتْنَةً وَوَلَدِهِ. فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: لَمْ أَسْأَلْ عَنْ فِتْنَتِهِ الْخَاصَّةِ. فَقَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: يَأْتِيكُمْ بَعْدِي فِتَنٌ كَمَوْجِ الْبَحْرِ يَدْفَعُ بَعْضُهَا بَعْضًا. فَرَفَعَ يَدَهُ، فَقَالَ: اللهُمَّ لَا تُدْرِكْنِي. فَقَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ: يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لَا تَخَفْ؛ إِنَّ بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهَا بَابًا مُغْلَقًا. فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: أفَتْحًا يُفْتَحُ الْبَابُ أَوْ كَسْرًا؟ قَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ: كَسْرًا، ثُمَّ لَا يُغْلَقُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ. فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: ذَاكَ شَرٌّ عَلَى هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ "
Rib'i bin Hirash said: I performed Hajj with Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him), and he sat with Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him). Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Companions of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! Which of you has heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) mention the fitnah (tribulation)? Hudhayfah said: I have. Umar said: You are very bold. Hudhayfah said: Bolder than me is the one who conceals knowledge. Umar asked: Then how did you hear it? Hudhayfah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "In a man's wealth there is a fitnah, and in his wife and children there is a fitnah." Umar said: I did not ask about his own particular fitnah. Hudhayfah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "After me, tribulations will come upon you like the waves of the sea pushing one another." Umar raised his hand and said: O Allah, do not let me live to see it. Hudhayfah said: O Commander of the Believers, do not fear; between you and that tribulation there stands a closed door. Umar asked: Will that door be opened or will it be broken? Hudhayfah said: It will be broken, and then it will not be closed until the Day of Resurrection. Umar said: Then that is a great evil for this Ummah.
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الرَّازِيُّ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الرَّازِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا عَبْدُ الْمُؤْمِنِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي خَالِدٍ الدَّالَانِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «أُعْطِيتُ خَوَاتِمَ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ مِنْ كَنْزٍ تَحْتَ الْعَرْشِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have been given the closing verses of Surah al-Baqarah from a treasure beneath the Throne."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْعُكْبَرِيُّ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَذُوعِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَرْعَرَةَ، قَالَا: ثنا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي بِخَطِّ يَدِهِ , وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ مِنْهُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَكُونُ فِي أُمَّتِي دَجَّالُونَ كَذَّابُونَ سَبْعَةٌ وَعِشْرُونَ، مِنْهُمْ أَرْبَعَةُ نِسْوَةٍ، وَأَنَا خَاتَمُ النَّبِيِّينَ، لَا نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In my Ummah there will appear twenty-seven great lying dajjals (false claimants to prophethood), four of whom will be women, and I am the Seal of the Prophets; there is no prophet after me."
حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، ثنا عَمِّي سَعِيدُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ تَلِيدٍ، ثنا مُفَضَّلُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يُوسُفَ الْمَكِّيِّ، عَنِ الْمُثَنَّى بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَتَحَدَّثُونَ فِي الْعَزْلِ، فَسَمِعَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: " إِنَّكُمْ تَفْعَلُونَهُ؟ قَالُوا: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: أَوَلَمْ تَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَمْ يَخْلُقْ نَسَمَةً هُوَ بَارِيهَا إِلَّا وَهِيَ كَائِنَةٌ؟ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah bin al-Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) that they were talking about 'azl (coitus interruptus). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) heard this, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) came out to them and said: "Do you do this?" They said: Yes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you not know that any soul which Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, is to create will certainly come into being?"
