Musa bin Talhah said: Talhah bin Ubaydullah (may Allah be pleased with him) was white with a tinge of redness, of medium height, closer to the shorter side, broad-chested and broad-shouldered; when he turned, he turned with his whole body, and his feet were large.
Al-Zubayr (bin Bakkar) said: Ibrahim bin al-Mundhir told me, through al-Waqidi, that Talhah bin Ubaydullah was wheat-complexioned, with abundant hair that was neither curly nor completely straight, handsome of face, with a fine nose; when he walked, he walked quickly; he did not change (the colour of) his white hair (with dye). He was martyred on the day of the Battle of the Camel, in Jumada of the year 36 AH.
