حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ الْعَسْقَلَانِيُّ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ سَهْلٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَيْرِيزٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَيْرِيزٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ أَبَا مَحْذُورَةَ وَلَهُ شَعَرٌ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: أَلَا تَأْخُذُ شَعْرَكَ؟ فَقَالَ: «مَا كُنْتُ لِأُحِفَّ شَعَرًا مَسَحَ - أَمَرَّ - رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَهُ عَلَيْهِ»
Abdullah bin Muhayriz narrates: I saw Abu Mahdhurah (may Allah be pleased with him), and he had (long) hair, so I said to him: "Why do you not have your hair trimmed?" He said: "I will not reduce hair over which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his hand."
