Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 6448 — a man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sawad bin Amr al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), saying: O Messenger of Allah, I am a man to whom fine looks and beauty have been made beloved, so much so that I do not like anyone to outdo me even in the thong of a sandal. Is that arrogance? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No; rather, arrogance is that a man looks down on people and rejects the truth."
