Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 6449 — Sayyiduna Sawad bin Amr was a handsome

Muhammad bin Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Sayyiduna Sawad bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) was a handsome man. He said: O Messenger of Allah, I have been given fine looks and beauty, and it has been made beloved to me, so I do not like anyone to outdo me even in the thong of my sandal. Is that arrogance? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No; rather, arrogance is that a man rejects the truth and looks down on people."
