حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ مُسَافِرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ: قَالَ سَهْلُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، «وَكَانَ قَدْ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَسَمِعَ مِنْهُ، وَأَنَّهُ ابْنُ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً يَوْمَ تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
Ibn Shihab narrates: Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) said - and he had seen the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and heard from him - that he was fifteen years old on the day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away.
