باب من يعرف من النساء بالكنى لمن لم ينته إلينا أسماؤهن ممن لهن صحبة فمنهن أم كلثوم بنت عقبة بن أبي معيط امرأة عبد الرحمن بن عوف — ما أسندت أم سليم
Chapter: Women known by their kunyahs whose names have not reached us, among the female Companions; among them is Umm Kulthum bint Uqbah bin Abi Mu'ayt (may Allah be pleased with her), wife of Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) — Reports Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا الصَّلْتُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ، ثنا سُلَيْمُ بْنُ أَخْضَرَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ، قَالَتْ: «قَرَّبْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَتِفًا مَشْوِيَّةً، فَأَكَلَ مِنْهَا، ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her); she said: "I presented a roasted shoulder of meat to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); he (peace and blessings be upon him) ate from it, then stood up for the prayer and did not perform ablution."
