Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 21397 — In the time of Uthman bin Affan, I asked

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ زَمَانَ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ عَنْ صَلَاةِ الضُّحَى، هَلْ صَلَّاهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ فَمَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا يَزْعُمُ أَنَّهُ رَآهُ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ إِلَّا أُمَّ هَانِئٍ، فَإِنَّهَا زَعَمَتْ «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَى فَاطِمَةَ وَهِيَ عِنْدَهَا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ، فَأَفَاضَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْمَاءِ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى ثَمَانِ رَكَعَاتٍ لَمْ نَرَهُ صَلَّاهَا قَبْلُ وَلَا بَعْدُ»
Abdullah bin al-Harith bin Nawfal (may Allah have mercy on him) said: In the time of Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him), I asked about the Duha (forenoon) prayer: did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) pray it? I found no one who claimed to have seen him (peace and blessings be upon him) do so except Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her). She reported that: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) on the day of the Conquest of Makkah, which was a Friday, while Umm Hani was with her. He (peace and blessings be upon him) poured water over himself, then he (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed eight rak'ahs. We never saw him (peace and blessings be upon him) pray it before that, nor after."
