Abdullah bin Abdullah bin al-Harith bin Nawfal (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father that he said: I asked and was very eager to find someone who would tell me that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had prayed the voluntary Duha (forenoon) prayer, but no one narrated this hadith to me except Umm Hani bint Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with her). She told me that: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came on the day of the Conquest of Makkah after the day had risen high. He had a garment brought and a screen was put up; he (peace and blessings be upon him) took a bath, then stood and prayed eight rak'ahs. I do not know whether his standing in them was longer, or his bowing, or his prostration; all of it was nearly equal. And I never saw him (peace and blessings be upon him) pray it before that, nor after."
