Ubaydullah bin Abdullah bin al-Harith (may Allah have mercy on him) relates that his father, Abdullah bin al-Harith bin Nawfal (may Allah be pleased with him), said: I asked and tried hard to find someone who would tell me that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had prayed the Duha (forenoon) prayer, until I heard Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) say: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came on the day of the Conquest of Makkah after the day had risen high. He had a garment brought and a screen was put up; he (peace and blessings be upon him) took a bath, then stood and prayed eight rak'ahs. I do not know whether his standing in them was longer, or his bowing, or his prostration; all of it was nearly equal. And I never saw him (peace and blessings be upon him) pray it before that, nor after."
