حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، ثنا أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ النَّضْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ، ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْقُرَشِيِّ، عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ، أَنَّ خَوْلَةَ بِنْتَ قَيْسِ بْنِ قَهْدٍ، حَدَّثَتْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِكَفَّارَاتِ الْخَطَايَا؟، قَالُوا: بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَالَ: «إِسْبَاغُ الْوُضُوءِ عِنْدَ الْمَكَارِهِ، وَكَثْرَةُ الْخُطَا إِلَى الْمَسَاجِدِ، وَانْتِظَارُ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الصَّلَاةِ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Khawlah bint Qays bin Qahd (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not inform you of the expiations for sins?" The people said: "Certainly, O Messenger of Allah." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Performing ablution (wudu) thoroughly despite difficulty, taking many steps towards the mosques, and waiting for the next prayer after a prayer."
