حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا عَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ، عَنْ خَوْلَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسِ بْنِ قُهْدٍ، وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَةَ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، فَقُتِلَ عَنْهَا فَجَاءَتْ نَبِيَّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، تَزُورُهُ قَالَتْ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ قَدْ كُنْتُ أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَلْقَاكَ فَأَسْأَلُكَ عَنْ شَيْءٍ ذُكِرَ لِي إِنَّكَ تَذْكُرُ أَنَّ لَكَ حَوْضًا مَا بَيْنَ كَذَا إِلَى كَذَا، فَقَالَ لَهَا: «أَجَلْ وَأَحَبُّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ أَوْ أَحَبُّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ أَنْ يَرِدُهُ قَوْمَكِ» فَقَالَتْ: فَقَرَّبْتُ لَهُ عَصِيدَةً فِي تَوْرٍ فَلَمَّا وَضَعَ يَدَهُ فِيهَا احْتَرَقَتْ، فَقَالَ: «حَسِّ» ثُمَّ قَالَ: " إِنَّ ابْنَ آدَمَ إِنْ أَصَابَهُ حَرٌّ، قَالَ حَسِّ وَإِنْ أَصَابَهُ بَرْدٌ قَالَ: حَسِّ "
Sayyidah Khawlah bint Qays bin Qahd (may Allah be pleased with her) was the wife of Hamzah bin Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him). (Hamzah, may Allah be pleased with him) was martyred and parted from her. She came to the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to visit him (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Prophet of Allah, I had wished to meet you so that I could ask you about something I have been told: that you say you have a Pool (Hawd) that extends between such-and-such and such-and-such." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: "Yes, and what is dearest to me is that your people come to it." She said: Then I presented to him (peace and blessings be upon him) some asidah (a dish of flour and ghee) in a vessel. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) put his hand in it, it burned him, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Ouch!" Then he said: "When heat afflicts the son of Adam, he says: 'Ouch!' and when cold afflicts him, he says: 'Ouch!'"
