حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، حَدَّثَنِي عِيسَى بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ، مِنْ وَلَدِ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاذُ بْنُ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ، عَنْ خَوْلَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ، وَكَانَتْ تَحْتَ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ قَالَتْ: دَخَلَ عَلِيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَعَلْتُ لَهُ خَرِيزَةً فَقَدَّمْتُهَا إِلَيْهِ فَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ فِيهَا فَوَجَدَ حَرَّهَا فَقَبَضَهَا فَقَالَ: «يَا خَوْلَةُ، لَا نَصْبِرُ عَلَى حَرٍّ، وَلَا بَرْدٍ، يَا خَوْلَةُ، إِنَّ اللهَ أَعْطَانِيَ الْكَوْثَرَ، وَهُوَ نَهَرٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ، وَمَا خَلْقٌ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مَنْ يَرِدُهُ مِنْ قَوْمِكِ، يَا خَوْلَةُ رَبَّ مُتَخَوِّضٍ فِي مَالِ اللهِ وَمَالِ رَسُولِهِ فِيمَا اشْتَهَتْ نَفْسُهُ لَهُ النَّارُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»

Sayyidah Khawlah (may Allah be pleased with her), who was the wife of Hamzah bin Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him), said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me, and I prepared a porridge for him (peace and blessings be upon him) and placed it before him (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) put his hand in it, felt its heat and pulled his hand back. Then he said: "O Khawlah, we can bear neither heat nor cold. O Khawlah, Allah has granted me al-Kawthar, which is a river in Paradise, and there is no creation dearer to me than whoever of your people comes to it. O Khawlah, how many people there are who help themselves to the wealth of Allah and His Messenger as they please; for them is the Fire on the Day of Resurrection."
