Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 20547 — The Messenger of Allah ﷺ encamped

Sayyiduna Abu Barzah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) encamped at Khaybar. At that time Sayyidah Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) was still a bride, in her wedding garments. She saw in a dream as if the sun had come down from the sky and fallen onto her chest. She related this dream to her (then) husband, and he said: By Allah! You desire nothing but this king who has come upon us. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) conquered the fortress and had her husband executed as a captive. The young Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) showed interest in her, hoping to marry her, until the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) scattered dates for them along the way and said: "Eat the wedding feast (walimah) of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) for his marriage to Safiyyah."
